I bought these for my 2002 cadilliac escalade and i dont know if im doing something wrong but they seem to short

These are for your rear window not your lift gate. Just to clear that up so if your trying to use these for you lift gate it will be short lol

Happy they work perfectly on my 2001 Yukon. Took maybe five minutes to install. Can't figure out the bad reviews. Time will tell. If my opinion changes. I will update review . It's a old truck so couldn't see spending high dollars.
