When should I use the 60 mesh vs the 100 mesh?

50 or 60 mesh is for latex and primer. 100 mesh is for thinner materials like stain. Thanks

Whats the proper way to remove the filter from the gun? I took the gun apart and tried to remove it from the top using needle nose pliers but couldnt.

As per the instructions you take the take the handle off using the hex "nut" on the bottom. Disconnect the gun from the sprayer first. I do this every time I use the gun to clean it and so paint does not dry inside the gun.

Realmente impide el paso de partículas que pueden tapar el abanico de la pistola. Recomiendo solo la original y tener mínimo un repuesto para evitar pérdida de tiempo en limpiarlo! OjO son lavables y duran muchos jornadas de trabajo.
