Coding For Dummies is the perfect introductory course to the world of coding. It is the beginner's guide to the fundamentals of programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby and Python. Abraham's logic is easy to understand and the book is littered with plenty of example code to supplement your understand of the theory. At the end of every chapter there are opportunities to practice what you have just learned at www.codecademy.com. The book also has plenty of information on lots of resources available to you to further assist you in your coding endeavours after you have finished reading the book. Abraham assumes the reader has absolutely no knowledge of coding so if you are an intermediate coder looking to expand your knowledge this book is not for you.

I just got this book last night and I can't put it down! It's so easy to read and follow along with. I can't wait to keep reading it and start coding. So far it has explained a lot of good background about learning, shown some really great ways to jump into coding, I've done two exercises already and its really easy and fun! I'm loving that its in Full color too! Oh and I want to mention it arrived sooner than expected even with a processing error on my part!

I am truly a dummy when it comes to coding. I could follow this book easily and everything was pretty well explained. I subtracted a star because I wish it would contain more practical examples because I found it hard to make in actual website with the limited practical examples shown.

It is way better than an actual textbook about coding!

All of the Dummy books are great!!

For those who think I'm just sitting back while they have the last laugh or think so. They should be careful what they wish for in all that they do. These books are quite handy in teaching a lot. While it's not kwondo it's it's still leatheal enough for a blow so powerful that will knock them right out. So don't turn away as I'm catching up fast to those who insist it's okay to ruin my life through the technical world.

I knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about coding and I mean nothing! Well, this book assumes you know a little something. The terminology that's discussed throughout the book will leave one confused if you are a true first time coder.

I gave this as a gift to my 11 year old. He loved it so much. I got this one because it teaches him, css, and python in one book. It is important that python was it as it is gaining more traction in companies.
