What is the length of the cable? I want to mount it on top of my motorcycle trailer and connect it to the stock Harley Davidson charger lead.

I mounted mine on the roof of my 6x10 v-nose trailer.  It took some work to disconnect the wiring from the solar panel, minimizing the size of the hole I needed to drill, but was worth it.  I came in right at the front of the V-nose and ran the wire down the wall.  From there, the connection hangs right about 12 inches off the floor.  There's an extension cable included that then easily reaches the charger lead on my bike.

is this product good use for two battery diesel truck ?

Depending on the year of the truck, you may need one on each battery or go with a higher wattage panel.

Does this need to be disconnected before using the vehicle?

Accepted Answer

No.  Using it is as easy as getting in the car and starting it.  I just have it sitting on the dash (on top of cloth) and move it to the passenger seat when I get in the car.  If someone is riding with it, the cord is long enough that I can sit it on the floorboard in front of the back seat.  I also suggest taking to whoever does your oil changes or other maintenance work and ask them to install it.  They did a fantastic job and it was so easy to do they didn't even charge me for it. Took about 5 minutes. I wish I had known about this item sooner.  It is absolutely exactly what I was wanting and performs better than I anticipated.

Can you place the solar mat on the inside of a car’s dadhboarf?

Yes, yes you can. As per my as you have enough room to set it there. We place them in the back window when vehicles go unused for long periods of time.
