Great Product
I have grilled both salmon and Arctic char on your cedar planks several times. Results were excellent. The flavor of the smoking cedar comes though nicely, adding a delicious but mild taste to the fish. I bring the fish right to the table on the plank which is a nice presentation. This also leaves my grill surface clean, a side bonus. Lastly, when i am done with the planks, I save them and use them for starting fires in the fireplace. They work well and smell great. Only other comment is that I have a Weber model Q Electric grill (on my condo porch). When using two of the cedar planks side by side, they do not allow the cover to close tightly. I may try trimming them down a bit next time. Regards, George B

Impress your dinner guests!
Cedar plank grilling is easy to do and produces GREAT results that will impress your guests, and your spouse! These planks are a good choice since they are at 15” they are larger than some other options, and thin enough to get direct heat through them, which is important. Some planks have knots, but that doesn't seem to affect the end result. Great with fish of any kind, especially salmon and tilapia. I find that it's best to cook a little hotter than I normally would for fish, since the planks need to get hot but the technique is forgiving.

High quality, large size, don't easily burn through. Recommended.
High-quality - perform as advertised. I soaked these for about 4 hours before placing them on the grill. We used these to grill fresh fish and shrimp. I liked the woody, smokey flavor, but my wife felt it was overpowering - so personal preference comes into play with these. The planks got nice and toasted on the bottoms, but didn't burn through. I imagine they would hold up for grilling something that would take longer to cook, such as pork, chicken, or beef. But we haven't used them on anything else at this point. The size is fairly large, so you should be able to cook a large amount of food on each plank, or cut them down if you are grilling less (might as well cut them in half or in thirds if you don't need to use the entire plank - this will save you a lot of money in the long run). Recommended if you enjoy cedar plank grilled foods.

Awesome...that's the word I'm looking for...
I used to buy my planks from the big box stores but sadly they change to planks half this size at about the same price point. These are great for whole salmon fillets and conveniently packaged to 8 planks so they last me for a while. One side is smooth for the fillet and the other is rough cut for the fire side. This is utmost important for the the fish to NOT stick to the plank as well as the rough fire side to promote easy embering to produce the smoke. These planks definitely give a great flavor to anything used with them. I've tried these for boneless chicken thighs and they were GREAT also! My hat's off to the mfg for these...don't change a thing!

Superior product at a Fantastic Price
I want to thank you for a wonderful product at a terrific price. I have ordered from you on several occasions, and always been very happy with the cedar planks. Prior to finding you, I bought them in my local hardware store. Their quality was OK, but the boards were smaller than yours and the price was MUCH higher. Love the size of your boards (large enough for 2 salmon filets) and the rough cut on the one-side is far superior to the smooth on both sides. You make a great product! Hope you are around for a long time!

Make Fish tastes really good!
Perfect size for a good piece of salmon (especially the ones purchased from warehouse clubs). Soak the wood well then marinated the fish right on it. Marinate fish with fresh herbs and dash of lime, lemon, or calamandine lime as preferred. Wrap fish and wood with foil and then keep in frig overnight to let the meat absorb all of the flavors. Then bbq the whole thing on your weber. The fish won't get burn and the plank is very nice way to serve your food. I don't reuse the plank because we don't eat salmon often. But it can be reused by washing it and then freezing it. The plank is well cut and the 8-pack will last for a while; it's a good price. The flavor of the wood will insert itself to the food and will offer a nice flavor to the food. I have only use this to cook salmon, because I like to cook my steak on direct flame.

Will get these again
We used these for a catered event and used them in the oven instead of on a grill. We pre-soaked for 2 hours, then preheated them in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes before putting the marinaded salmon portions on them. They held up great and imparted a wonderful taste and aroma despite being oven cooked rather than grilled. The carmelization on the fish was gorgeous (honey based marinade), and the skin cooked up nice and crisp. They cleaned up great and can certainly be reused. Nice and thick (not sure why some thought they were so thin?) and long enough for a 2 lb fillet if you go with a whole fillet. We got 4-5 six ounce portions per board.

had super fast delivery
I am a pyrography artist that was commissioned to burn a company's graphic logo on 300 of these planks and oooh did these guys deliver. They were fully stocked for this ridiculous order, had super fast delivery, and curious, caring staff. Out of the mass amount of planks I ordered, a few were discolored or a little malformed (which honestly wouldn't matter if you're just using them for grilling in general), but since I am selling them as art pieces I was a little concerned. The founder, Tomas, did not hesitate to send me some free planks and make it all okay. They are some of the biggest planks on the web, and totally blank, if that matters to anyone else! I scoured the web looking for a perfect pack of planks at the right size and price, and Western Cedar Grilling is it. Thank you for a quality product and an effortless process. Everything I own smells like these planks and I don't mind at all. Plus I tested out the planks and the food turned out amazing! Asparagus with olive oil and salt and pepper and the wood flavoring. Damn. So great.
