Pat Your Pet Deshedding Brush & Metal Comb Grooming Combo for Cats & Dogs

I honestly bought this brush as a last-ditch effort after trying what felt like every grooming brush on the market. My 11-year-old beagle started shedding excessively after beginning her cancer medication, and nothing seemed to help. No matter how often I brushed her, her coat stayed full of loose fur, and I could tell she was uncomfortable. Then I found this brush, and the difference was incredible. In just one 10-minute grooming session, it removed more loose fur than months of brushing with other products ever had. I couldn't believe how much it got out without bothering her. We've been using it regularly for about a month now, and the transformation has been amazing. Her coat looks healthier, the shedding is finally under control, and, most importantly, she's comfortable again. She's back to being the feisty, happy little girl I knew before starting her medication. If you're struggling with a dog that sheds heavily, I can't recommend this brush enough. It has made such a positive difference in my dog's comfort and appearance, and it's easily the best grooming brush I've ever purchased!

I purchased this to use to help combat the shedding with my German Shepherd and this absolutely does the job. Kind of looks like a torture device, but my shepherd loved being brushed with it. My Golden Retriever wanted to be brushed with this, but I didn't feel this would be good to use on her as her coat isn't as dense as my shepherd's. I definitely recommend this brush for double-coated breeds. I like this brush more than the Furminator.

Better than the Furminator brush specifically for those pets whose fur tends to tangle and mat. I was able to comb gently through knots in my Maine Coon’s coat. Imagine, no cutting out the knots! Also works on my border collie. She accepts this combing with ease. Doesn’t really work for short haired cats; stick with Furminator for them.

Nothing wrong with the product per se, but it just wasn’t right for my cats. The brushes were just too thick, cats instantly got bothered by the thick steal going down their fur and their hairs were not long enough to even catch anything. This thing is advertised for cats but if your cat doesn’t have long enough fur, there’s really no point. Returned.

I am truly surprised by how wonderfully this works; it is a lifesaver!! My sheepadoodle, Ollie, has two coats. We live in Louisiana where it is very hot, so he gets very hot! It is also difficult to find groomers for him because he is 106 lbs. Even though he wouldn't hurt a fly, they see him coming and think dear Lord! His coat gets thicker and thicker despite the temperatures and so brushing him everyday was not enough. However let me say that you do need to brush them and make sure they do not have tangles before running this through their hair. I did hit a snag and he was not happy about that, but otherwise he was totally into having me comb him with this thing! I think he thought it was a spa day. I had to include pictures because I couldn't believe how much hair I got off of him. I should have taken pictures the first day, but I didn't think about it, so remember this is day two. I didn't want to do too much at one time because I want him to actually enjoy it. All of this hair would have ended up on my carpet, and he would have been miserably hot. It's easy to clean and for the money that I spent on it I probably saved hundreds of dollars at a groomer. I am so glad that I found this wonderful tool!

Cats: I have 2 long haired cats, with one being a frail elderly gentleman. The cats were literally pushing each other out of the way to be brushed and my cats typically don’t like to be brushed! I was able to remove mats with ease and no pain for them! I’m imagining much fewer, if any, hairballs moving forward. Dogs: I have double coated LGD dogs that always seem to get into mud. This tool effectively removed their undercoats with ease! Thankfully we were outside because it looked like blowing snow when I was done. I honestly feel like this will be much healthy for them not just through the summer months but their skin in general. Horses: Horses shedding their winter coats is a big thing and normally takes me a day per horse to brush out. I wasn’t sure how they would react to this new tool but I had nothing to fear! I began brushing the first one who instantly let out a gentle, soothing whine. The hair came off by handfuls. She stood absolutely still and loved every minute of my brushing. So much so that she kept moving my hand back on her when I would stop! Sheep: Having haired sheep means you don’t have to shear them but it doesn’t mean their coats don’t need brushing. I found this to be the easiest tool to help out my long haired sheep remove their winter coats with ease. No pulling, no hurting just gobs of hair coming out easily. Obviously, at this point you can tell that my single tool is highly used but note, it is also easy to clean and disinfect between animals. In the past I have used tons of individual tools to brush out these animals but not anymore. One $10.99 tool did it all.

This works so much better than any of the other tools I have used on my king Shepherd. It really gets in there and gets the hair out. Just need to go slow and be careful so you don’t pull their hair and hurt them. Love this tool!

Works great for my border collie. It removes lose hair and detangles. Weight is good, cleans easy, like material and believe it will last. Bought one for my sister to use on her german shepherd, she told me best comb she has used.

One of my cats has long hair and hates being brushed, so has often gotten matted and has needed to he taken to the vet for sedation and shaving, which isn't great for his health, my bank or nice for him if it's getting colder. Regular brushes just pulled at his fur and he would bite and scratch to get away and nothing helped. I bought this thinking I probably won't have any more luck with it, but am actually so pleased. It cuts through the knots and pulls out all the excess fur with ease and minimal pulling. Even though he still doesn't enjoy being brushed with it, I can get more strokes in before he tries to leave and it's actually working rather than just brushing the fur on top and doing nothing to the knots underneath. If you have a pet who gets knots then definitely get this!
