Best pain in the butt ever
Bought for my elderly mother who could not remember to take medications. We used to use the organizers that stated days of the week, but she would not know what day of the week it was. In short it was a big mess just barely better than nothing. This thing is spot on , however. The red/green color labels, date vs day, and the wonderful talking timer... It just works so well. Actually the talking timer is hard to understand, but Imade her live thru it for 2 weeks just to get used to the process. The beep alarm is sufficient. Now that she is used to the red "done", green "next" labels , we don't have to really know what day it is, but the LED gives her a visual cue in case of confusion. My mother curses the alarm on a daily basis, but we have not missed a single dose since we started using this system. WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE FOR THAT. The timer is fairly easy to set, I bought an ac adapter, but it is still running on the original batteries we started with, the alarm is set 4 x per day and frequently goes off for an hour or so before she wakes to hear it. I will probably never use the adapter unless I run out of batteries. BUT there is a huge downside for the one filling this organizer- all those little boxes have 4 separate, hard to open lids -I fill a month at a time; this takes an hour or so and a whole tabletop to do . Then if a script is changed, added or removed another hour for maintenance. We have had script changes 7 times in the past month This IS A PAIN , but it is worth it to me. But I've had lots experience with caregivers-friends & family, home health workers,etc.. and I have not encountered very many that would reliably provide the due dilligence to properly maintain this system. This is something you don't want somebody filling during commercials, or while in a hurry to get on to the next patient down the road. Just sayin'

Perfect pill organizer for peace of mind!
I’ve been looking for a pill organizer for my aging mother who has gotten forgetful with her meds. We had a scare late last year with double dosing and I am SO relieved to have found Med Center. It’s easy to use and keeps everything very organized. Very sturdy, size is actually perfect for the kitchen, and the time reminder is really cool! Very grateful for the peace of mind this product has given me!

A good system.
This is a good system. It has 31 containers, marked with the numbered days on each end, one in red, one in green. I set it up so that RED means the container is empty (or not complete - one thing I discovered as I was filling this is what scrips I needed to refill!) Yes it takes a bit to fill it, but I was getting sick of doing it weekly, seemed like I was always filling pill containers. I am not convinced the plastic pill containers themselves are totally top-notch. The "hinge" seems a bit less sturdy and easier to close than I would like - meaning it feels like it would be easy NOT to close them all way as I didn't get a real satisfying SNAP when closing them. But it's a minor issue, I just have to pay attention. I have not set up the timer yet.

Very helpful...
I got this for my parents. They take a lot of pills, and it's hard to keep track of everything. This makes it much easier. The voice giving directions is a nice feature, and it's clear and loud, and the compartments are easy to use. It was also less expensive than some of the alternatives that had lower ratings.

In use for a year with a stubborn relative, works well
In April 2018, I purchased the MedCenter System with Reminder Alarm for use by my 89 year old Mother-In-law. After a year of use, I am very pleased with this investment, and highly recommend. Initial set-up of the Reminder Alarm is a little tricky, not something that my MIL could fathom. Contrary to some reviews, I found that it is possible to customize the number of alarms during the set-up phase. Example: we only need reminders for "Morning" and "Evening" pill boxes, so I have selected "alarm Off" for the "Noon" and "Night" sections. The Reminder Alarm has sound options : beep , voice-loud , voice-extra loud, or off. The batteries last for many months, although I recommend changing the batteries every six months, to avoid problems. During battery change, it helps to plug in an ac adapter (not included with this particular set, but you may have one in your home already). Without the ac adapter, a battery change may require re-programming of some features, so be sure to check the settings after the battery change. Initially, some of the pill-box lids were a very tight fit, a challenge to my MIL. I recommend storing a small bottle opener in the empty slot of the MedCenter, to help pry open a stubborn pill-box. Now that the system has been in use for a year, the pillboxes open and close easily. The MedCenter with reminder system helps my MIL stay on schedule with her meds and vitamins, too. I visit at least once a month, and load up the pillboxes for MIL. In fact, I bought an extra set of Pill-boxes, so that I can load up to two months in advance, which gives me more options on the timing of my visits. In summary, the MedCenter has been a great solution for helping a very stubborn woman, who hates to be told what to do, manage her daily medications. Funny story, MIL loves to complain and can be very dramatic - she complained for months about the MedCenter badgering her to take the pills , until - one day, she accidentally (on purpose?) switched off the sound - then, MIL realized that she "missed hearing the MedCenter", and needed me to get it working again immediately. Haha.

Very effective
I take a lot of medications and suffer from memory loss as a result, this item is so very useful in helping me to remember my various medications at specific times everyday. I set the included talking medical clock, which by the way can be set with 4 different and distinct alarms at the same time, and it announces the time, verbally, prompting me to take my medications. I acknowledge the alarm via a specific button, and it begins the countdown towards the next dose. The pill center itself is very large, I did not expect it to be that large, I mean I guess I should have considering the fact that it comes with 31 separate pill cases organized by day. It's very convenient as I only need to have help with my pill boxes being filled once a month as opposed to requiring help 4 or 5 times per month. When they are filled in each of the four compartments, allowing for four medication times per day, they are placed in the caddy green side up where the date is reflected in white lettering indicating the case is full and ready to be administered, once the day is over and the medication is taken it is reinserted into the caddy in the opposite direction with the red side up indicating that the medication has been administered and the day is now over, thereby serving as a calendar as well as a pill center. It's a great item. It seems to be made very well, and it more than serves it's purpose. It's large so there will be no hiding it but the caddy and clock combined alleviate a major issue with people taking their medications. I would take them when I remembered and quite often forget, but since the implementation of the device I've not missed one dose, and I can't tell you how much more I hope this will effect my conditions and ailments. I know this seems expensive for a pill case but let me tell you in terms of the amount of help it provides, and the security one can accrue knowing that they or their loved ones are taking their medications as needed not when remembered, it is also well worth it. Also you can look at it this way, how much would 31 pill cases and 4 alarm clocks or one specialty medical clock cost you in a retail store. I for one had no inkling that a clock with these capabilities even existed.

this is a wonderful monthly medication organizer!!!!!!
Starting with 5 stars cause I like the organizer...although it took forever to set my meds up for a month. I’m redoing my review cause I finally got the clock to set. So here goes. You need to set aside a good couple hours if you take a lot of meds and if you have morning and night to set up. Turn on the news or a good movie to have in the background. You need to go one medication at a time. Yes, it’s time consuming but after that...it’s a simple matter of grabbing the correct capsule and your meds are all set out for you. I REALLY like this feature. I use to have something similar but it was a lot larger. This isn’t. The biggest drawback I see is the capsule could be a bit larger. For instance calcium pills are HUGE and they need a lot of room. As does fish oil. I use the the noon setting for those. My nighttime meds fill the capsule...mostly because of the size of calcium pills. I use the dinner setting for my three me.atonin. All I have to remember is use the two settings for each time I need meds. All in all I do recommend this for anyone wanting to simplify their medications. I have days where I forget if I took them in the morning...and then I don’t take them just in case. Now I’ll know just by looking at the capsule. Plus I can use the feature that verbally reminds to take my meds!

Great Monthly Pill Organizer
Great pill organizer for elderly or anyone looking to set up pills on a monthly schedule. Days are clearly labeled. Flipping containers when a day is completed to show the red instead of green indicator is an ingenious way to stay on the correct day. My Mom had a complex pill schedule and this allowed me to help her successfully manage her medications. We purchased, but did not need to use the alarm system. The daily cases could also be taken in a purse to allow Mom to take her pills away from home. Super helpful device. Only difficulty we encountered was that occasionally Mom needed assistance flipping one of the lids open.

Much needed and has reduced the stress of taking multiple pills for senior ! Easy to use and since purchase never missed a pill as the recording is loud enough that you can hear it from another room and does not not stop until you take pill .
