Creative, patterns are not easy to understand
I love the patterns and styles, but I was disappointed to learn there is no guidance, only the pattern. Some patterns are not easy to understand. Pictures would help or extra guidance.

Excellent Book
Love love love this book. Tells you how many patterns are in the book as well as easy to follow pattern instructions. I would recommend this book if you like making afghans whether you are an experienced or beginner. Definitely recommend it if you’re a beginner. It is a very good teacher to learn how to crochet and making afghans are a snap for the experienced. Would buy for friends that would like to learn or are experienced in the art of crocheting.

Not at all for beginners
The book is not intended for beginners and is very difficult to read if you are not familiar with abbreviated jargon. Patterns are beautiful, but won’t be able to use this for a while as a newbie.

A supply of very different pattern looks to play with
This is not a collection of stripes and ripples. This book has unique patterns like the Oreo cookie Afghan, Arab, fisherman, plaid, warm stripe patterns, delicate motifs. There's a train or racing theme for the kids and a couple designed for baby. This one is definitely worth checking out. Yarns are mostly (4) weight with a few (3). Yarns used are listed in pattern.
