Moen 102763BN Shower Accessory Screw-In Shower Strainer Drain Cover for Use with 3-Inch Shower Drain, 4-Inch, Brushed Nickel

The genuine Moen part is thick brass, beautifully polished and apparently lacquered. The Moen website says this part (102763P) is discontinued, so maybe it isn't true that "brass is back" after all. Too bad: we love it. Each drain cover came with two #10 screws (brass plated with machine threads for some unknown reason). With some pressure, these short screws did thread into untapped holes in the PVC drain housing. The polished brass finish is so pretty, and these had no scratches at all. The appearance makes an instant upgrade to the shower. We will remove the brass drain covers whenever using strong cleaners or scrub brushes, to avoid damaging the tarnish-preventing lacquer. Hopefully these will last a lifetime, and they'd better if they are truly discontinued.

Works just as described great quality and price was better than Moen website. Very strong and a great upgrade. Easy install!

Good luck getting polished brass attachments and fittings at Lowe's or Home Depot .. not in vogue these days, but every once in a while I have a customer with polished brass trim in their bathroom and a mismatch of chrome somewhere that they want to change to brass .. this was a quality strainer by Moen and had a thickness to the metal which gave it a rugged feel as well as the attractive finish .

I recently renovated my bathroom and shower. The new drain cover that the contractors installed had a silver finish. All my new fixtures were oil rubbed and venetian bronze. This new drain cover fit perfectly and the color looks great with my new bathroom fixtures. I will mention that I could not use the screws that came with this cover. They were metal screws and would not work with my PVC drain housing. So I went to Lowe's and bought a small package of #9 x 3/4" self tapping venetian bronze hinge screws. They worked and matched the cover perfectly.

Is a nice product and matches my moen Caldwell shower package but I give it 4 stars because it came with a noticeable bright gold scratch 1/2" long in the middle of the product near the 'moen' brand. It was packaged well, just seems they sent a reject to me...I'm still going to install it tho since is for a basement shower that barely gets used

We have been searching for a matte black shower drain cover, and have tried several that are semi-gloss covers. The problem is that the cover is a high traffic area. Granted it is from bare feet, but it still can get scratched. SO, this is the perfect solution for our issue and the fit is perfect as well. Our existing shower drain measured 4 inches, and this fits just right.

Absolutely no comparison to the cheaper "brass" drain covers. This thing is superb quality, it is thick and strong, and looks excellent. Really a well made product

A package arrived was missing the screws, I was supposed to return it, but I decided to keep it and buy the screws separately.
