Atomic Digital Wall Clock, 3" Display, Indoor/Outdoor Temp Sensor

This Sharp Atomic Clock is fantastic! The jumbo 3" numbers make it incredibly easy to read from across the room—perfect for anyone with vision issues or just wanting clear visibility. I love that it automatically sets itself with atomic accuracy—no more fussing with time changes or daylight saving adjustments. The indoor/outdoor temperature display is a great bonus. {i purchased it really only because of this option...} The wireless sensor was easy to set up and gives me accurate outdoor temps without stepping outside. The gloss black finish looks sleek and modern, blending in nicely with any decor. If you're looking for a dependable clock that you can set up once and forget about, this is the one. Highly recommend for home, office, or even a gift!

We have this mounted in our bathroom so that as we’re getting ready for the warning, we can look at the weather and the time. This is a very, very nice unit. Well worth the money looks sophisticated and gets everything adequate glance.

Sharp Atomic Clock can be read from across the room, the digits are large although a bit close together giving it a bit of a "chunky" appearance. I would have given the review 5 Stars except for the fact that the clock has gone bonkers, setting the time to a random number, twice now in a month. If the time had remained correct, I would have given the review 5 Stars. Apparently the WWVB link was not strong enough for the clock location in the kitchen here in south Texas. Setting it up on a window sill for a few minutes after pushing the wave button for 3 seconds, the clock reconnected and corrected the time. Still it should not display a random number for the time by missing a WWVB reception! Other than that, I like it.

I bought this after the atomic clock that I had had for 17 years stopped displaying the outside temp. The Sharp clock is fine--when it decides to work. I have only had it for a couple months (if that), and I have had to reset it twice. The first time the temp sensor was working, but the clock and calendar were way off. I tried to reset it manually, but it was so difficult and frustrating that I removed the batteries an put it away for a couple weeks. When I brought it out again and let it reset itself overnight, it worked fine--for a little over a week. This time, not only was the calendar off, but for some reason the temp sensor wasn't working either. I had put brand new batteries in it when I first got it, but I replaced them just to make sure it wasn't the batteries that didn't work. No luck. So...I removed the batteries and put it away again. I'll bring it out it in a couple days and try it again. If it doesn't work this time, it is going in the trash. I don't need the frustration! Incidentally, my 17-year old clock has never needed to be reset, and, aside from the temp sensor not working, it's still going strong!

I really like this clock. It occasionally has difficulty syncing, but the one my father had in our home growing up in the 80s did as well. That's nothing new with atomic clocks it's always going to be something that occurs from time to time. I had no problems until summer hit. And I don't live where it extra warm. For us it got hot, we hit about 80 degrees for an entire week when it began to go haywire. The exterior temp sensor starting reading temps 10-15 degrees higher than I knew they really were. The first photo in June, it's indicating about 4pm the temp is 97, our high that day was right about 80 degrees. Later that week it was showing between 100 and 109 and we didn't make it to 90 that week. The sensor was tucked up under the eves on our porch, the porch does get the setting sun, so I moved it, but still had the same issue. Today however I noticed the outside temp registered -- So I reset the whole thing, and including reopening batteries. You can see in the last two photos, the sensor is sitting on the shelf inches from the clock and on two photos taken during the same minute one it's xonnected, is sensor 1 degree cooler then the sensor in the clock, odd but I can live with that, the other it's not connected. And it went back and forth multiple times during that minute. Like at least 2 dozen. Guessing a phone call to sharp had to happen.

I had one previously and the outdoor sensor broke. (Storm) Bought a brand new one and was able to sync them both together. Now I have one and two different locations in my home.

I could not recommend anyone buy this product as the price is not even close to the build quality of the product even without all the issues I am suffering from the unit I received. This product was sold to me as an Atomic clock, unfortunately it is only an atomic clock if you live in the USA as you will see from photo 4 the Time Zones you set are only based on USE time zones and phot 1 shows you it will only set to WWVB radio broadcast by the US Government's National Institute of Standards and Technology in Colorado. The unit I received was a pre-used clock although I paid full price of a new clock (you can see this from the scratches seen in photo 4 and 5). Also despite the set up notes on the box stating that the sensor takes 2xAAA batteries it actually takes 2xAA batteries (photos 2 and 3). There is also no way to hand the sensor outside unless you wrap the sensor in wire or string?

I’ve always been a fan of digital watches (Casio, Seiko etc.), so it was a natural choice to buy a digital wall clock. Having the date, and indoor / outdoor temperature is a bonus. I followed the setup instructions to the letter, and annoyingly, the outdoor temperature displays for around 5 seconds, then disappears for around 10 seconds. This is why I’ve given the four stars. Other than that, very happy.
