I have read all of her books, except the paranormal ones (I'm just not a paranormal reader, I've tried). Abbi has again captivated you from the start on this book, there is so much detail and a few twists, that I am sure will be explored in another book of this series. Abbi is an amazing author who loves her fans almost as much as she loves writing and her characters. If you have not read any of Abbi's books, I highly suggest you do. She is by far one of my top favorite authors. I read this book in just a few short hours. I actually put off reading it because I knew once I started reading this, I wouldn't be able to put it down and boy was I right about that. Review: A great addition to The Field Party series. - Abbi Glines' The Field Party series is back! I've been wanting to read Under the Lights ever since I met Brady in Until Friday Night (my review). I loved his character and couldn't wait to get to know him better. When I read the synopsis for Under the Lights, I was a little confused. I didn't expect a love triangle for Brady. I was worried about how this romance would go down. Love triangles aren't usually my favorite thing to read. They're normally angsty and uncomfortable. Luckily, that wasn't the case with Under the Lights. I could easily pick out who Willa should be with. I never felt uncomfortable with where the story was going, even when the characters thoughts were uncomfortable. Kudos to Glines for that! She did an amazing job writing these characters and their feelings. Brady was exactly who I expected him to be after meeting him in Until Friday Night. He was the sweet, dependable guy everyone feels comfortable around. Brady always tried to do what was in everyone's best interests, even when it went against what he truly wanted. He was a stand up guy. I do have to admit that reading his point of view annoyed me at times, though. I wanted to yell at him and tell him to stop making life easier for everyone else and be true to himself. Gunner surprised me. There was more to this blunt football player than I originally thought. (Isn't that always the case?) Gunner was your typical teen with atypical problems. He may have been a little crass, but he was still a decent person -- especially when it came to Willa. Willa was my favorite of the three characters. She had more inner strength than she gave herself credit for. Life hadn't always been kind to her and she learned some tough lessons, but she still soldiered on trying to be her best. I liked the way she handled both Brady and Gunner admitting their feelings to her. To be completely honest, I would have enjoyed this story even more without the love triangle. The odd man out's point of view felt like added material I could have done without. Not that I didn't enjoy the story. I did. The Brady-Willa-Gunner dynamic made sense based on their friendship and I liked the way they dealt with it. I just would have preferred more focus on Willa and her beau. Overall, Under the Lights was a really fun addition to The Field Party series. I'm really looking forward to After the Game, the next book in the series. I wish I didn't have to wait until sometime in 2017 for it!

This author always delivers!!!
Now every one of my friends and family members know my obsession with Abbi glines, in fact I've gotten quite a few of them addicted too. Her writing for me is as stimulating as that first cup of coffee in the morning. It heightens your emotions and awakens your senses. I love it when a book has you so emotionally invested you don't want to put it down, and if you have to you end up having withdrawals and craving to be alone with it again. Under The Lights for me was so heartbreaking and raw, it touched a subject that is personally close to my heart. These may be high school kids, but damn the emotions in this book will wreck you. Not just your ordinary field party story, filled with parties and hormonal teens. This is a story that will have your heart breaking for all involved. I applaud Abbi for daring to go where not a lot of authors are willing to go, to approach subjects that affect many in real life. I can't wait for you all to read it. Another 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read. #TheFieldParty #LawtonLions #GreatRead

It was good, but I was left needing some answers
In the second installment of The Field Party Series by Abbi Glines we meet Willa who has returned to Lawton after being gone for six years and is dealing with some demons. She's back and trying to keep to herself, but her best friends from childhood Brady and Gunner refuse to let her isolate herself. All grown up and seniors in high school the three of them are learning that their friendship from all those years ago is still as strong, but some things are different. Willa was sent to live with her Nonna, the only one who ever really cared about her, after being thrown out of her parents house. As the story progresses we learn why, and it's tragic and breaks your heart. Willa has a lot of healing to do in this story, and with the help of one of these boys she is finally able to forgive herself and start to learn to accept what happened in her past, but it's a long road. Watching Willa struggle with her feelings both past and present with Brady and Gunner is frustrating at times. Brady and Gunner both want Willa but don't know how to deal with it. They both have a bond with her, and that bond didn't change even with all the years they spent apart. They were inseparable growing up now that they are all together again, things get complicated. You will root for one of these guys to win Willa over more so than the other, just because they fit more so than the other does. That boy also has his own story to tell, and it's just as messed up as Willa's. This was an angsty and dramatic story that had me hooked till the end, but it ended quite abruptly for my liking and left me with quite a few questions. The epilogue was also in the past instead of the future which is usually ok, but since there was so many unanswered questions I wasn't feeling how this book ended. I did enjoy Willa's story, and also seeing characters from the previous book as well. I'm hoping in the next book some questions will be answered as I have become attached to these characters and need to know what happened! Overall this was a good read, but there was too many things that were left open ended for me. Willa's story was sad, yet beautiful and full of laughs, tears, and forgiveness. If you're looking for a Young Adult/New Adult book that isn't full of craziness and backstabbing, I do suggest adding this one to your TBR list today.

I was so excited to enjoy this amazing new book from this series, The Field Party. This new story, Under the Lights written by my favourite author, Abbi Glines. I thoroughly enjoyed this most wonderful book so very much. With such emotional and such most capturing writing. I loved the most beautiful character Willa Ammes. Living with such a hard young life. Although she still had her Nona to love and care for her. Although she was still so lucky with two closest friends, Gunner Lawton and Brady Higgins. I loved this entire most amazing book. I just adored all these most marvellous and fun characters. It is also such a romantic beauty too. I found it so hard to put down. It's a winner, amazing work Abbi Glines!!! * I recommend this book to everyone.

AsI said, it hearts me to give this rate, because I was eager to read this book. I had it pre-ordered since september, what its a lot! And I expected to be as good as the rest of abbi glines books have been. But no, this one is missing everything. Characters are vague, and OMG how can this be possible when most of them were part of the first book - that was absolutely amazing? I couldn't get in the plot, because it takes place in only 4 - 8 days, that is not reallistic.... I dont know, this has been a huge dissapointment. I think I just thown my money to waste, because this e-book, is not worth 9,99 EUROS in any case.
