Great resource. Good illustrations and instructions.

Excellent purchase. Simple to follow and well illustrated. If you’re a beginner, I recommend this book. It’s not a drafting book, it’s a book that shows you how to perfect your draft to get the best fit. Also gives a clear introduction to terms and concepts.

Be prepared to use along with the QR codes on each page. Each page is a summary of the directions. You really need to watch the videos to get the full directions. Having the book is a great! It’s like having class notes. The notes help me remember video contents. No more watching videos over and over. I’m not new to sewing, but I’m new to doing more than basic alterations. This will definitely be one of my “go to” books.

Really informative book

This book is so clear and concise when it comes to fitting sewing patterns. I feel I could have saved a lot of fabric, time and sanity had I gotten it sooner. It’s so empowering to be able to sew clothing that fits!

This book is chalked full of information. Information is what I need, instead of frufru pictures that’s just taking up space for valuable information. The diagrams are simple, easy to read, so that you can confidently apply your corrections, to the patterns. If you are looking for a coffee table book, this ain’t it. If you’re the type that just want to cut to chase, get ready to work. I am certain those who left 1-3 stars, only thumbed through the book, and got flustered by the volume of information and basic shapes. I’d advise you, if you’re feeling this way, take in small chunks, bit by bit, and you will feel happy that you selected this book. Again, it’s not a luxurious, Disney, thumb through type of book, it’s a guide which will remain by your side. Happy Sewing.

I have a number of fitting books and this is at the top of my list. This is an excellent book. I took a class where the teacher wanted me to add a dart where my muslin was cut too large. This book will tell you how to recut your muslin to get rid of the extra fabric.

It seems like a nice book but I found it difficult to understand as a beginner. There are links to videos ,but those also lack detail so again hard to understand.

Super livre. Malgré le fait qu'il soit en anglais donc peut être difficile pour certaines personne qui ne comprennent pas le vocabulaire technique, je trouve que c'est claire et très compréhensible, avec les illustrations et les photos pas besoin de plus.

I’ve been sewing clothing of all kinds for almost 40 years, from lingerie and wedding dresses to jeans and outerwear. This is the best book I’ve seen in all these years. The techniques are well explained and illustrated well so that a beginner can understand, and advanced enough to help me fit any garment and any body. I don’t buy many books in hard copy anymore but this is one I like to keep handy in my sewing room. Highly recommend.
