Loved the bucket for milking my mini Nubian. Hated the lid. It slips around, doesn’t stay put, and because the lid isn’t the same heavy duty metal, the sound it makes when it clangs into the bucket is grating to the ears. But I love the bucket.

My MIL had this bucket for compost and I had to get one for myself. The lid is easy to remove with one hand which is important because, of course, your other hand is holding an apple core, or used tea bag, etc. And yet, the lid covers the bucket well enough to keep odors inside. It cleans up well and looks nice enough to sit on my counter where it's ready for use. Love it!

The lid doesn't fit. Barely even balances on the bucket and falls off with the slightest touch.

It stays balanced, easy to carry, lid just sits on top but stays put. Easy to clean and sterilize. Perfect size for my Nigerian Dwarf doe.

The pail itself is of good quality however if you want a tight sitting lid this is not your pail. The lid does not sit securely on top, shifts and falls off. I would not trust transporting milk from barn to house in it, I filter the milk in jars before leaving the barn.
