Can you use it to draw, I was thinking that my kiddo tries to eat her sidewalk chalk, so can she use this to draw on the sidewalk?

Shaletha Booth, if you’re craving chalk, especially when pregnant you’re displaying signs of pica and need to be treated for vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies immediately for both your own health but also the health of your unborn child. In pregnancy the usual pica causing culprits are iron, calcium or zinc deficiency but not always. Please alert your obstetrician or family doctor IMMEDIATELY whenever you’re craving non food items so that they can order extensive bloodwork to protect your health!

Does this turn to mush while you chew it or does it stay crunchy/gritty the whole time?

It says crunchy/gritty but I also bake mine for an hour on 400.

The only process I utilize before eating the chalk is soaking it in cool purified water for about 1 to 2 hours. Then pouring off the water and then rinsing the chalk off briefly. Then I place the pieces on parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake them at 350° for 30 minutes. I let the chalk pieces cool off and set them aside for 24 hours in a well ventilated area away from anything scented. Then I'm off to snacking.
