Aquafaba: Egg Free Revolution: Discover The Magic Of Bean Water & How To Use It To Make Vegan, Egg Free Recipes Review: Perfect baking ingredient. - I have a severe egg sensitivity and I can now enjoy scrambled eggs, crepes, waffles and fried food that has eggs in the recipes, baked goods come out perfect. I wish I had found this product 15 years ago. Review: An extra star because it's free - This recipe book feels like it's been put together in a hurry. The author needs to get her mates to test the recipes. I recommend reading through each recipe twice before you start so you can check for errors. For example the first step in the brownie recipe is to add all ingredients to the food processor, which is not unreasonable for brownies. However later steps start talking about individual ingredients again, as though you hadn't just blended them all in the food processor!

If you must
great, if you really need to eat this way, but as a chosen alternative, not at all....I just enjoy learning and knowing what is possible.

Great ideas
Love this book. Great variety of recipes from sweet to savory. I'm really looking forward to trying the recipes out.

Disappointing....
Recipes definitely very basic and could be found on the internet for free. And who needs 3 (slightly) different recipes for mayonnaise? There is a brownie recipe (p. 37, recipe 25)that is completely incomprehensible as it calls for making a 'crust' but the recipe does not delineate which ingredients are intended to be for this so-called 'crust'. It then goes on to instruct the user to add guar gum and cream of tartar, which are not even listed in the ingredient list. Also, ingredients are mostly given in measurements of cups/tsp/tbsp etc but some ingredients are only given in ml or grams without the conversion listed (see seitan piccata recipe p. 10); some recipes do have the US equivalents provided. Some temperatures are provided in degreees F and others in degrees C, some do not give either (see Simple Meringues p. 16). Overall, a sloppily written and poorly edited collection not worth the money.

It is supposed to be vegan and yet all the recipes are so full of sugar it makes me cringe. Disappointing.

Purchased the wrong book because it had very similar title to the one I thought I was purchasing. Contains only sweet recipes and not useful at all for me.

I was disappointed overall with the quality of this book for the price. There are quite a few obvious editorial errors such as contents list missing numbers ( ok not a big deal), recipe no 23 with no ingredients listed properly, two recipes called aquafaba macarons but no clear description in the title what type (ok ingredients gives a fair clue but title would have helped). No pictures, very small things paperback of 43 pages. I've decided to wait and see what I can find on the Internet or until another book comes out. Maybe I should keep and try recipes but I just feel price is too expensive so returning. I will stress that I haven't tried the recipes and maybe that is my loss but I would like more from a recipe book costing £15.

I downloaded this because it was on offer, free, but still can't give more than one star. I'm thankful I didn't pay for it. It's very short, has no pictures, and the recipes are a complete muddle of metric, imperial and cup measurements. They're not proof-read, and as far as I can tell, not tested by the author as there are no explanations or interesting text that would make this worth reading. Worse still, the recipes are plagiarised directly from websites without even crediting the originals. Aquafaba was discovered early in 2016: the liquid from cooking beans or chickpeas can be whipped as a substitute for egg whites, in meringues, mayonnaise, and various other recipes. There are hundreds of websites and online forums/groups which discuss this, and share recipes and photos at no cost. I highly recommend aquafaba itself, but don't bother with this book.
