Versatility
Great fryer. I usually use the fryer more in the summertime here in Southern California, but lately I’ve been using it a little more. My old fryer wasn’t working anymore, so I thought it was time to upgrade. This fryer is larger than my last one, although it is not a giant fryer, it handles everything that I need. The design is nice and I like the fact that it has two baskets. The heating element got the oil hot in a relatively short time, and it retained its heat when things were dropped into the fryer. I like the fact that the heating element detaches from the fryer which makes it easier to drain the oil and to clean the element. Having two baskets gives you versatility. The wife like tempura vegetables to go along with dinners on occasions. I usually make Po’boy sandwiches so it’s nice that I can separate the vegetables from the protein.

Great starter fryer very user friendly just watch out for flying oil.
Don’t write reviews quite much but I will say for the money with a discount or coupon it’s most definitely worth it. 1st off I only cook in Peanut oil or Avacado oil and food comes out light bouncy and crispy & only eat well done Proteins. It cooks items easily, gets up to temp 375 in about 7-10 minutes but that’s fine cause it’s just turning on from cold you can cook from frozen or raw you just have to fry it till minor color comes in and take it out for a few minutes to let it get back to desired heat since oil just gotten frozen flashed. Then back in and repeat works like a charm. Basket design is ehh, questionable but it does the job fine and is big enough for a Grown up meal not just deep fried snacks. Easy to clean beware oil is going every where and when it does put that top on but don’t let it touch the heating Line just to where it covers and block the oil so you better have a dedicated area to cook this in. You can make anything in here but I keep it simple everything naked because peanut oil is 18-22 bucks a gallon so I get more usage with the help of straining ofc. Only knocked it down for cheap basket and price but it’s pretty much pitch perfect.

just get it. now. do it.
I was skeptical on this as the price was so low. got it home. unboxed. easy set up. timer is always on, off, and then in five minute increments. Only goes up to 375. Takes about 3.5 liters for oil. pros: almost everything! i have never tasted cheesesticks so perfectly done! easy clean up. top vent to make sure it cools off without leaving heat/grease on anything if you set it under your cabinets on a counter. fry baskets are separate so you can make 2 different things at once. cons: not many. takes a bit to warm up, but once it does, it is READY. no spattering or anything. no popping/mess. but prepare the fryer. turn it on first before you even start to pull out any food. it does take several minutes. it has a lot of grease to heat. the sides get SUPER HOT. even though there is another pan in the unit to take out and easily clean. i kept forgetting to use the handles and touched the sides when trying to move it back after use. 2 handles on the side, sturdy, and do not get hot. remember to grab them! this unit is not like most fry daddys. the sides do get heated. its metal for the frame/box. just a reminder! not sure if this is a pro or con. but if you time your food and the normal temperature, cut down the time by 1 or 2 minutes depending on what you are making. when they say this thing will fry it up, IT DOES. SUPER SUPER FAST! i had to pull out 3 different things a couple minutes early such as mozz, buff chicken nuggets, and jap poppers. even though the bag said 6 minutes, i had to pull out the mozz 1 minute early, 2 minutes early for japs, and 1 minute less for the chick poppers. this thing is AMAZING. ive owned so many, but never got something this great for so cheap. buy it!

Perfect addition to any summer barbecue
bought this for french fries when all the family came to visit. A great addition to any outside barbecue for scones, fries or any fried food. You can have yummy food without stinking up your house. Love the timer and double baskets so you can use for a larger crowd. Going to use it a lot this spring and summer. Great addition to our small appliances.

This was a good purchase for me.
Make sure you have enough food, of any kind, to throw in the fryer! It’s so much fun and so quick. It’s definitely worth it. The only thing I’ve had a problem with is being able to see the min and max oil line inside the tank. But that’s really not a big deal. I love it.

GARBAGE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
DON'T WASYE YOUR MONEY. Purchased as a birthday gift. Unit would not power on. Pressed the reset button. Power light came on and the unit heated for about 10 minutes before the power light went off. Pressed the reset button again. Unit would not turn on. Pressed the reset button several more times with no luck. GARBAGE.

I want to rate this more like a 3.5 instead of a 4 or just a 3. It heats up very efficiently and quickly and we have enjoyed a variety of foods from this deep fryer. It's a great size as well, 2 batches of fries easily feeds 6 people (as a side dish, of course). The biggest problem is that the cord is ridiculously short. Our kitchen is set up with a flat top induction "stove" and downward vent, with no outlet. It is absolutely necessary to vent while cooking, as deep frying produces a LOT of steam. In order to set this up where we can actually vent, I have to use an extension cord (which is against the labelled safety warnings, I am absolutely aware, just because I do this I am not telling others to do so). I don't know what sort of layout they designed such a short cord to serve. The other thing is that it is awkward to clean. Trying to ensure you are washing and rinsing the heating coil ONLY and not getting the main electronic part soaked is a challenge, outside of hoping you aren't dripping oil all over your kitchen. Since the oil basin is large, it is tricky to wash well even in our large kitchen sink. Otherwise we have been very happy and have used it far more often than we expected when we first purchased.

If you follow the instructions it works really well and it’s easy to clean. The only problem is it’s expensive to use and every month you have to refill the oil so if your gonna use it you better plan a whole month of deep frying or buy an air fryer to do a similar cheaper job.

Worked at first but at some point the electronics started smoking. I believe it was the timer which was producing a fine smoke and extremely strong "fried electronics" smell. Did not stop working but continued to put out some horrible gas. I did no realize what was happening until I started to developed a headache and looked around the house to see a fine light smoke everywhere. I unplugged the fryer emmediatly but it was to late the smell in the house was overpowering. Even with all the doors and windows open it took all night to get the smell out. It was an aweful cold night with -10 or -20 weather outside. It was not until 5am that I was able to close up the last window without the headache getting emmediatly worse. Over $20 of fresh oil wrecked. I dont feel safe using it. Amazon offered a return. It was a couple of days past the window. However I had to send someone on a 2 hour round trip drive to return it to the closest purolater outlet. I'm in a wheelchair and Chronically I'll. I alone and owe more favors that I can repay. Now I owe another big one. The result is next time I need to get to a medical appointment I may be out of favours. In hind sight. I should not have bothered to send it back. The purchase sale price is not going to make up for the trouble.

I'm Dutch and in our family Fridays are Frie-days. Home made fries, cut from scratch and twice baked. You can't beat those. This gem has an awesome capacity. I used to need to fry 3 portions separately for my family, with sometimes spillover oil when the fries were left too wet. Now I only need to split it in 2 portions, and haven't had any spillover in all the months I have used it. One small minor drawback is that the timer is connected to the power. I use the timer to time the frying period. And I don't want it to turn off but reheat after each portion. So instead I keep it on, don't use the timer but use my phone timer instead. Otherwise it's the best fryer I have owned.
