Product Description Review: Great primer for painting. - Works well on wood and canvas. Review: Smooth and clean - I would have given 5 stars, only because when I received it the lid was so loose that it just lifted off when I took it out! If it had been jostled just slightly more in transit, I would have had the gesso all over the box. Typically too there is usually another seal on the inside to avoid this so perhaps this is why it is less in cost than others. Anyway, the product is very smooth and easy to use. Very much liked the application of this. Will buy again.

Good primer.
It is a good primer. Thicker then regular paint. I bought white and did the white on rock first. Then covered it with blue. Had to cover with the blue three times to cover the white. The next ones, I am going to mix some of the main color I want with the white so I don't need as many layers.

Wet, easy to spread
This acrylic is wetter and more saturated in nature. Which it does make it easy to spread, but not as easy to build up. Granted I've only used it straight out of the jar. Easy to clean tho. The texture is not graint it's very smooth. The quality feels good.
