Bought the tado° Smart Radiator Thermostat 3-Pack as a Wi-Fi add-on for our multi-room heating setup, and it’s been a huge improvement. Installation was straightforward — once you’ve swapped the existing TRV bodies out (easy enough with the right tools), pairing with the app is quick and intuitive. The ability to control each radiator separately — and automate them based on schedules or open-window detection — actually makes a noticeable difference to comfort and energy usage. The app itself is genuinely useful. You can adjust temperatures from the sofa, the car, or mid-shopping trip if you suddenly remember you left the heating on. And yes — voice control via smart assistants works as expected without needing to shout into another room. Thermostat accuracy feels good, and room-by-room control means no more “keeps downstairs like the Sahara, upstairs like the Arctic” situations. We’ve installed a total of 10 tado° smart radiator thermostats throughout the house – including the bathrooms – and it’s honestly one of the best upgrades we’ve made. With a toddler and a baby in the house, being able to control the temperature in each room individually has been a massive help, especially during unpredictable UK weather. Installation was surprisingly easy. The app gave clear, step-by-step guidance and each valve only took about 10–15 minutes to fit. Once connected, the system worked seamlessly with our WiFi and Alexa. Now, we only heat the rooms we need, when we need them. For example, we keep the baby’s room warm in the evenings but don’t waste energy heating the spare room or hallway all day. The app is easy to use, and we’ve definitely noticed a drop in our heating bill since making the switch. We haven’t paid for the Auto-Assist subscription yet, and to be honest, it still does plenty without it. But we might give it a go next winter to see how much smarter it gets. If you’re looking to save on heating and gain more control room-by-room, I’d absolutely recommend this system.

Really useful but a tad expensive.

I decided to take the plunge after doing my research. I went or Tado based on the good reviews, apparent ease of installation and value. I now just heat up the rooms/zones where I want or need the heat. In the end I ended up with the starter kit and 9 Smart Radiator Valves and so the cost does add up when you need to purchase that many SRVs. Installation of the actual wireless receiver/controller wasn't that difficult but in my view is probably outside the knowledge of must DIYers unless you happen to have specific electrical knowledge or background. Fitting the SRVs is easy and I didn't need to use any of the adapters which is a plus because some of them look a little odd and I'm not sure how well they would fit. Besides that setting up everything through the app is very good. Defining different zones works a treat and you can have different heating schedules for each zone. The app/controller is actually clever enough to not turn on the boiler each time a single SRV calls for heat as that would be very inefficient and also bad for the pump and boiler etc. it tries to optimise this as much as possible which seems to work well. I can also do manual overrides from the app, such as boosting the heat in all rooms or turning them all off. It also notifies me when I leave home asking me if I want to turn all the heating off the save energy. it's a nice idea but when I leave home it doesn't meant that everyone else has :). Perhaps Tado will improve this so that all home users can be tracked and also linked to specific heating zones. For example, when my daughter leaves for work, the apps could track this and just turn off the heating in her bedroom. Anyway, great product and would definitely recommend.

Living in a 80’s detached house where wind seems to hit it constantly, and with 15 rads, I finally caved in to the Tado V3+ kit…and do not regret it. I bought the stat and two 4-pack’s of smart valve heads locally and set them up. I had some teething issues with connection dropping out between the bridge and boiler receiver, but since buying a 3d printed “bridge holder” from Amazon, the connection has been pretty stable. I have read about some with large distances between the boiler and bridge, and having thick walls causing comms issues. I have three toilets and a cold porch, so opted to keep the valves on them as standard lockshields, the way I have set it up is that these four always come on in addition to any smart rads calling for heat. This works for me as they are small single panels or towel warmers, and provide ambient warmth in places it is needed (best practise is to have some rads without thermostatic control anyway). I bought three smart TRV’s for £112 on Amazon, this means I have 11 in total. Having set them up individually in the Tado app with schedules, I find it fantastic as I am not potentially warming 15 rads like I did before with a standard wireless stat set to a specific temperature in one room. It also helps with speed of warming because now the required rads heat up faster as less rads are calling for heat, prior to this some of my rads took ages to warm up even with me balancing the system as best I could. I have tailored the schedule so the kids rooms aren’t being heated when they are at school, or the wife’s work room is not actively heating overnight, weekends or during her office days etc. I have targetted what rooms need what heat, at what times. Then with time I started to see where the heating manifold is and what rooms help heat others, so a little fine tuning here and there has helped even more with reducing usage. Overall, I believe I am saving over 10% in usage versus a traditional stat, but in reality I am warming less areas at a time, and the rooms requiring heat at certain times feels warmer as a result. I fitted this kit in October so expect by the end of the following winter I’ll have at least broken even on my outlay. Easy to fit to most standard TRV’s, with 1.5 x 30mm thread. There is a list on the Tado website of what fits directly. I have changed 1-2 older valves to Drayton 15x15mm ones so I can fit them without use of any adaptors. It only takes a moment or two to fit the smart head onto a compatible valve body, and initialise it. Each head takes two AA batteries, it gets easier to change after the first time. I am using decent LR6 alkaline batteries, and expect they’ll need done 1-2 times a year. I have parental locked the heads from manual use, but if you don’t have kids in the house then twisting the head to the desired temp is a nice little way to boost heating in a particular room. Tado had an offer for a years free access to advanced features like geofencing and open window detection. Geofencing is great for automatically turning down the heating when no users of the app are detected within a close range. Absolutely brilliant if you have a wife who doesn’t make any adjustments via the app when the house is empty all day… Overall, it can be an expensive system to set up and might be a bit daunting for some, but read up as much as you can. I can’t see it being a regretful decision to install these for most people in more modern houses or with large systems.

I’ve gradually installed eight of these smart radiator thermostats throughout my home, and they’ve made a huge difference to how I manage heating. The ability to control each radiator individually is a game changer. I can easily turn heating on or off in specific rooms rather than heating the whole house unnecessarily, which makes everything much more efficient. The scheduling feature is another standout. I can set the heating to switch off when I’m away and have the house warm again just before I return, which is both convenient and energy-saving. I also really appreciate the built-in humidity monitoring. It helps me keep track of moisture levels during the winter months, so I know when to use a dehumidifier and which rooms might need more ventilation or heat. Since installing these, I’ve definitely noticed savings on both energy usage and bills. They’re reliable, easy to use, and give you far more control over your home environment. Overall, a smart investment if you’re looking to improve efficiency, comfort, and reduce costs.

Perfect smart thermostat valves for Tado heating control. Easy to install and set up, plus noticeable reduction in heating bills, and further savings since I installed in all rooms. The AA batteries need changing about every 12 months.

There are so many issues with this product, its hard to know where to start. First, the plastic adapters are very flimsy. Have to buy a brass adapter (M30) for a decent physical connection. Second, they are difficult to pair and have trouble communicating with their hub. I have a 2500sq ft (250 sq m) single floor, and my router and bridges are centrally located, and support various zigbee, z-wave, wifi, BT devices flawlessly. however tado uses a special EU-only frequency (868Mhz) that suffers from "massive interference" (quoting Tado), and is only permitted to be used for infrequent communication (like up/down third, this devices requires you to delegate temperature control to a system outside your house, on tado's servers. the phone app does not control the thermostat. the app sends a command to Tado's servers, and then their algorithm then decides how to adjust the thermostat and sends a command back to your house to be delivered to the thermostat. you also must have flawless internet connectivity, and if you have any internet outage (imagine a winter storm), the TRVs can only be controlled by walking up to them and twisting the dial. don't try to use these in a ski house, for example. because of this, you sometimes have to "refresh the app": "You can refresh the app, meaning you can close it (also from the background) and turn it back on" (quote Tado). fourth, the temperature sensors are off. with no heat on, they read about 2-3° C off. yes, you can set an offset in the app, but the problem is that the sensors are embedded in the TRVs, so when the radiator is on, the temperature reading is off by way more than 2-3°, and the algorithms rely on the wrong temperature. you can hook up room temp sensors, but only those made by Tado. If you already have environmental sensors in the room (like I do), those will not feed their algorithm, so you need to spend more money on Tado per room. fifth, even when everything is working perfectly, the algorithm overshoots the heating (make the room too hot) and the cooling, meaning it doesn't turn on the heat until the room has gotten too cold for comfort. sixth, they cannot integrate properly with homekit: "The only way to remove them from HomeKit is to do the factory reset on the bridge. You will need to perform a factory reset of your Internet Bridge." seventh, they would not honor their return claim https://support.tado.com/en/articles/3432853-how-can-i-claim-a-refund-based-on-the-energy-savings-guarantee-are-there-any-conditions because they say i bought the product illegally from amazon in the UK: We are unable to comply with this request since you have bought the devices from Amazon.co.uk and decided to do a "grey import" to the USA on your own initiative." lastly, the support people at Tado are just rude. I have been designing and developing hardware and software products for dozens of years, so I know how these things are supposed to work and what evidence to collect to demonstrate what is happening. The support people just ignore the evidence and tell you to read the instructions. Ultimately, they refused to help me because I am in a country they dont support. and they refused to refund my money under their "no questions asked" guarantee.

Satisfait il fonctionne très bien

Fantástica solución de TADO para poder controlar de forma individual todos los radiadores de la casa ya que mediante una app y un equipo minúsculo conectado a un puerto ethernet del router, es posible controlar la temperatura de cada habitación de la casa. El único problema sería que el instalador desconozca la marca ya que los tutoriales son algo escuetos y, si no, se trataría de realizar una instalación de tipo ensayo-error, que al no representar ningún problema el desmontaje del cabezal termostático se hace sin problema. Una ventaja es que el cabezal incorpora 8 adaptadores para la unión entre el cabezal termostatico y la llave del radiador, por lo que es muy difícil que no se pueda hacer.

Rapporto qualità prezzo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Acquistate in offerta durante il black friday, qualità prezzo eccezionali Utilizzo ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Previo controllo sul sito tado della compatibilità del sistema con le valvole installate nella propria abitazione, la confezione contiene degli adattatori nel caso l'attacco non sia direttamente compatibile. Le volvole si installano facilmente anche se, a volte, si fa un pò fatica fissare il sistema di aggancio della valvola stessa alla base. Sono molto reattive ai comandi della app tado, in pochi secondi, dal comando ricevuto, attaccano o staccano la caldaia. Unica pecca, per chi ha i sifoni installati in delle nicchie, è possibile che in fase di riscaldamento la temperatura sia sovrastimata di 2-3 gradi. Purtroppo non c'è una soluzione se non acqusitare un ulteriore termostato wireless da installare in camera, in modo tale che sia lui a comandare la valvola. A quel punto la misurazione di temperatura e umidità nella stanza, sarà impeccabile. Considerazioni finali Un prodotto completo, ben costruito, qualche piccolo problema ma risolvibile, certo, spendendo altri soldi, ma assicuro che vale veramente la pena.

Très bon produits , j'en est installé 3 et j'en suis complètement satisfait. Par contre j'ai voulu en racheter 3 pour 3 autres pièces, j'ai était étonner qu'il soit passer de 140€ à 219€ en quelques jours … Dommage, je vais attendre de voir une promo du coup ...

We have been using tado for 3 years now, and it's an absolute life and money saver. It reduced energy consumption by around 30% and ended the regular debate at our house if it is too warm or too cold. We agreed on a heating plan and we enjoyed a pleasant environment thereafter. The initial investment is returned after a year.
