flex drain
It fit over the downspout and kept the rain water away from the house.

Works great
They are a little thin, but they work just fine. Theyโre easier to put away than the thicker heavier ones thatโs for sure.

Just a Couple Complications
Because my side yard is the depository for runoff from both my roof and my neighbor's garage roof, installing one of these became mandatory if I intended to keep any soil in my yard. The hardest part of the installation was removing enough of the existing downspout (distance from the ground) to be able to affix the end onto it as I already have a water barrel in place nearby. Once that was accomplished, I was able to snake the pipe alongside the patio edge and behind a bush, then along the fence, well away from the damaged area. It is not fully extended in all the bends and such because I didn't want to impact neighbors to the rear and I didn't want to separate any sections because - well, then, where would I store the excess? The path the drain pipe takes does not always slope strongly downhill, so I discovered that there is water sitting inside well after the rain has stopped. I do not wish to have to readjust this pipe after every rain, and I am puzzling out a solution to prevent a mosquito breeding farm. I haven't quite figured out how to introduce a Mosquito Dunk into the downspout or the pipe or how effective that would turn out to be, what with the rain barrel attachment 'n' all. The pipe itself has a good weight and appears to be able to hold up over the seasons. Only time will tell. It does not appear to leak at any of the section joints. As something of a runt, I did not have the difficulty mentioned of squashing it as I uncrimped it, but I did not have substantial difficulty doing that, either.

It's in the ground!
The good: The pipe was exactly as long as I needed it to be and saved me from trying to squeeze a 50ft full corrugated into my sedan at home depot. The bad: It didn't quite fit with the couplers I purchased, but I was able to get it to work with some modifications. Tip: To get the pipe fully extended, anchor one end (I pinned it in some cinder blocks) and work your way back from the anchor. Walk the full length a second time to be sure there aren't any stubborn spots (I had a few).

The material this is made from disintegrates in just a few months
The product held such promise - an extension from my downspout to get water away from my foundation. I ordered both white and black versions of this. The white seems to be holding up for now, but the black has completely begun to disintegrate. On the one picture, you can see where the seam is coming apart. I didn't post photos of the other sections where it has just completely separated.

Great for Whelping Pools
This flexible drain pipe goes far! I had plenty for two whelping pools (golden retrievers) and two drain ditches for their kennel. It was an awesome discovery!!!!

OPEN CAREFULLY
The 50' pipe has four bends in it where the pipe was bent to fit the packaging. The bends are difficult to straighten out and a couple led to leaks. The bends are not easy to straighten out.

Lego-Like Solution for Drainage
The whole Flex-Drain system is designed for quick, easy, and snappy solutions for drainage issues. We used this (with the Flex-Drain ADP53102 Downspout Adaptor & Flex-Drain 55020 Drain Pipe Coupler Adapter) to route a downspout away from our garage to the end of the driveway...garage WAS flooding with a heavy rain...NOW all good. The pieces snap together (like legos...sort of) and are easy even for me (lawyer doing a bit of DYI) to get done...highly recommended! (NOTE - see the flex drain web site for some neat videos demonstrating installation...very easy even for me).
