I originally bought these fruit gel bowls because my 4-year-old (who has CP) has an IEP goal to practice using a spoon. She can use one, but it’s still messy, so I thought these might be a good food for practicing at school. The gel helps keep everything contained in the cup better than fruit packed in juice. Well… that was the plan. Unfortunately for my grocery budget, my other four children discovered them and now they disappear at an alarming rate. I subscribed to get a box every two months, but our first box was almost gone within three days. My daughter has managed to take two to school so far, so at least the original purpose is being fulfilled a little. The peach pieces are soft and easy to chew, which makes them nice for younger kids. The strawberry gel is sweet enough that the kids basically view these as dessert. My autistic child who homeschools has been eating quite a few of them (like several a day), and interestingly he hasn’t asked for candy during this stretch. I’m not sure they’re dramatically healthier than a treat, but they do at least contain real fruit. The cups arrived well sealed and I didn’t have any leaking in the box. The lids peel back cleanly without splashing syrup everywhere, which I appreciate when kids are opening them themselves. As far as value goes, this is one area to pay attention to. I purchased the 36-pack on Amazon for about $25 with Subscribe & Save (regular price was higher), but I noticed Walmart sells a 12-pack for about $9.74. So depending on current pricing, the bulk pack may or may not be a better deal. Overall these are convenient, easy for kids to eat, and clearly very popular in our house. Just be warned: if you have multiple kids, you may need to hide them or they will vanish very quickly.

The best fruit bowls ever.

It was nice to find these as they have always been a favorite in the household. They were also a good price. However, the price just jumped up over a dollar in a month! Since they are not a priority, I ended up canceling them on my subscribe and save go. But if the price hadn't increased, I would definitely have continued to buy them.
