Excellent!
This is an excellent product! It’s helping me learn to read and play and write music from my piano keyboard. It’s helping me teach my granddaughter too. Thanks!

Would recommend laminating it once you receive it.
I love the product for ease of use. It is only a piece of cardboard but is great for finding notes on the piano in seconds. I did laminate mine so it would last longer. I would buy again. Perfect for new piano players

thumbs up
As others have said, the only thing to complain about really is that this isn't the most durable thing in the world. Great for a teacher to show a student, but not so great for a student to keep, unless the student is mature enough to be careful with it. But the idea of it and the basic functionality is top-notch.

Great teaching tool!
The Slide-a-Note Musical Slide Rule is a great teaching tool. Sound Feelings has addressed an area quite confusing to young beginners. I had it laminated to strengthen the page and found the slide rule slightly over to the right of the ledger line centers, but it still works quite well. It would be even better laminated with the slide rule adjusted.

Inexpensive way to learn notes
I found out about this from a Periscope video that another Piano teacher does on the best tools for teaching new students. My wife and I run a Piano studio and use this for teaching notes to beginner students. What a great tool and so inexpensive. Very easy to use with the sliding plastic.

Music theory for my preschooler
My 3.5-year-old daughter takes a piano lesson and enjoys learning her music "alphabets" using this.

Good tool, but too pricey for the quality
Excellent concept for students who struggle to see the connection between piano keys and the staff. But for the price, not to mention cost of shipping, it definitely should be a sturdier product. Any young musician could quickly bend and damage this. Fortunately the slider can be removed so the cardstock can be laminated, but this is something I think Sound Feelings should have done before selling it.

Received bent
Not thrilled about the quality or condition it arrived in. Have been eager to use this for lessons as I often explain this concept but lacked an aid that visually connected both the staff and the keyboard vertically. Was planning to laminate after reading others’ reviews, but don’t really see a point now. Seller definitely overpriced this, just looked it up and it retails for $12.99 CAD at some music stores - unfortunate none local enough for me. Price is labelled $6.95 USD on the back. Could understand paying over $40 for a durable quality and size but this is definitely the most overpriced teaching aid I’ve purchased.
