Bought this to improve connectivity for a few devices and it's worked exactly as hoped. Setup was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. Despite its small size, the signal is stable and reliable, and it's been great for extending WiFi coverage where needed. It's compact enough to take travelling and doesn't take up much space at all. For the price, it's a very useful little device that performs surprisingly well. Good value for money

So what do we have here: Wifi 6, 160MHz of channel bandwidth, VPN server, VPN client which I am using with NordVPN and it works wonders, ultra-fast web interface, lots of settings and customisation options, super-reliable connection with my main router through Wifi but through ethernet too of course. Wifi performance is great too although I do not expect it to be on par with more expensive routers. But afterall, this is a small and lightweight device with no external antennae. Covering the area of an apartment or of a hotel room is more than enough. And it does it so well.

After asking TPLink for the full specs, they declined and what it's was against their suppliers code of practice. The full specs are no where on the internet for any of their routers and can see why certain countries are suing them for spyware.I purchased to gain this information and still the only way to find out was to take it apart.The router was sluggish and had very poor power management even on a standard power socket and not USB C this router would not even power an very small HDD.Very very limited settings in the software and if you want to use the full software settings (TPLink's Security suite like Anti Virus etc you need to pay a monthly fee).So bottom line. It's not worth purchasing as you will have no idea what your buying and it lets you down on power and network stability.

Excellent little item, easy to set up just follow the instructions and you can't go wrong.Didn't use the app as no need.Used this to connect my wired CCTV system to the WiFi.Would recommend.

I've always been wary of these WiFi extenders, but this one nit only works, but works incredibly well. Easy to set up, simple app, and a well built sleek design. I would highly recommend.

As with every TP-Link product I have purchased, this worked straight out of the box. It has been purchased ahead of a trip to Madeira to a hotel we have stayed at before where wifi is available in the public areas but only an ethernet connection in the rooms. I have tested it on my own home network by plugging into a spare port on a switch in my home network located in a room in a corner of our fairly large house and found I could access it via an ipad (air 2) and my wife's Samsung tablet throughout the house, even at the furthest point from the unit. A hotel room should prove no issue.Physically the unit is tiny - about the size of two matchboxes side by side - and therefore highly portable and ideal for going on your travels.The only comment I have on setting it up was that you need good eyesight to read the access password which is printed on the base of the unit. I had a couple of false starts with this inputting incorrect passwords before a magnifying glass came to the rescue. Once I had the correct password everything worked exactly as it said on the tin!For less than £20, its an absolute bargain!

[TP-Link TL-WR3002X AX3000 Gigabit Wi-Fi 6]The first time I connected to the router software, it asked me to update the firmware.After the update, I tried to link to my Cloud TP-Link ID. However, it keeps disconnect by itself.I tried to setup the VPN client/merge (which is the main reason for buying this router). I tried OpenVPN, WireGuard, with no joy. I used all the possible troubleshooting, but absolutely no joy. It keeps in the "Connecting" status.The logs don't show anything, not that only it shows wrong dates from the past before I buy the router even though I cleared the logs multiple times.

Does the job after some faffing. Hooked up to a YouView box in the bedroom and plays all OD stuff. Here's how I eventually managed to set it up.1 - Connect The TP Link to the mains2 - Use phone or laptop/PC to hook up wirelessly3 - The password is the 8 digit serial number4 - open a browser and go to 192.168.0.2545 - Select quick setup6 - Select Client7 - Follow on screen instructions7.5 - Change the TP Link IP to one that suits your MAIN router (ie. 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.0.254 etc)8 - Reboot TP Link9 - Relocate to where needed10 - Power up and use Ethernet lead to the deviceAnd that's it. Simple. Excellent range on the device - very very small - flashing lights aren't a problem - superb little gizmo for making wired devices wireless.Hope this helps people.

After multiple failed attempt to provide internet connection to a device without wifi capability, decided to try this travel router in client mode. Instruction was clear, setup was smooth, and it performs well so far. Inexpensive and solid option for anyone looking for wifi-to-ethernet adapter. Very happy with the purchase.

I am very impressed with how simple this product was to setup and it's performance.Due to the FTTP provider for my estate I am required to have my Modem/Router inside the garage which means the Wi-Fi in the house was sketchy or nonexistent. We do however have data points located throughout the house.After attempting to setup and older router as a range extender and giving up I was looking for something cheap that could service my needs. Enter the TP-Link portable router.It was literally as simple as 1) plug in the power cable2) Plug in the data cable3) Enter the network password provided in the box.That's it! My phone handles switching between the networks based on which is strongest and now we have excellent Wi-Fi throughout the whole house. The range of the N Router seems fantastic as even from the other end of the house we still receive a full signal. Extremely happy customer here.
