Mine came in an extra box. Inspected it and the original packaging came to me with no damage.

Why does this take up to 5 months to deliver after release date?

Mine didn't take 5 months. Maybe it depends on where you live? For me it took a couple weeks and when I asked, they said it had something to do with the facility he was being shipped from
