My first box of this tea came last night. This morning I made my first cup, and I am totally pleased. From some of the reviews I expected this tea to be too spicy or harsh, but I find it a perfectly balance blend of all spices--definitely not too peppery. I like a strong Chai tea, and it seems that there is quite some wiggle room for strength on how much tea I add to my water, but what I had this morning was wonderful. It's so much better than any of the tea bags I have tried, including the "big" names, and I don't buy the liquid Chia mixes. I like being able to control the sweetness. I have an adorable 1 quart vintage Descoware beanpot that I use for brewing my tea, and I filled it with about 20 ounces of water and added about 1 flat teaspoon of tea. I was surprised that the tea didn't color the water - it was fairly unimpressive just sitting on the bottom of the pot, but after the water come to temperature, everything hydrated and I ended up with a lovely pot of dark, fragrant tea. I boiled it for a few minutes, added my milk and unrefined sugar and brought it back to the boil. All told, it took about eight minutes to make enough tea for two large cups--far less time than it took me feed the cats and make my bed. I let the pot simmer on low until I was ready to have my tea, and it was awesome. About an hour later I had my second cup -it was still hot from the cast iron pot and equally wonderful. I totally see why so many people have written to say they have found their perfect Chai tea. It also comes thoughtfully packaged with an extra sealable bag to keep it fresh -the packaging shows pride in product. This won't be the only box I buy, for sure.

Great tea and fresh, it is very flavorful, and the aroma is amazing. Love the tea , highly recommend for people who prefer energizing, flavorful cup of chai anytime 🙏🙏🙏

New review: After spending a few days with the tea I can say that I brew this tea strong (1 and 1/2 tsp to 1 tbsp tea per 8 oz filtered water) let steep only 2-3 min then add to equal measure animal or plant milk . this makes a wonderful Masala Chai . this weekend I try to fully boil-brew the tea and see how it goes. The key was steep time just 2-3 minutes maximum . you can get two steeps out of the tea this way. Original Review: I bought some double spice chai. The box that arrived is nice, containing two small vacuum sealed packages, an extra resealable bag and a few inserts. I brewed up a cuppa using the suggested weight (2g) and filtered water (200 ml) . it has a nice spiced flavor that is blended well. The initial flavor is that of astringent tea really nice with brown sugar and milk which brings out the flavors of cardamon and cinnamon as well!. its astringency cuts through curry taste well and clears the palette too. I will likely add a bit more tea next time but I am happy with my purchase!!!!

Definitely double spice and I like that. Great tea. One of my top picks in tea.

Wonderful warming Chai spices. I bought one bag of double spice and one original spiced Chai and mixed them. I use 1 teaspoon of tea in a teabag and steep for 5 minutes. Vahdam teas are the highest quality and best tasting teas I've ever bought.

The aroma on the double spice chai literally filled my whole home. Based on that I thought this was going to be so good. I was trying to brew some so I could make lattes quickly in the mornings. The first batch I did I measure according to directions and used double the tea. Made 48 oz. The color told me first that I might be a little on the weak side. I mixed it with half the milk I usually would and was very disappointed. Tasted watered down barely any spice. So I made another batch triple strength. Darker in color but not much better in strength. The package also states that it has 50 servings with 1 teaspoon being a serving per 7 ounces of water. Each batch I used two 24 ounce mason jars. Each jar in the first batch had 6 teaspoons of tea. Each jar in the second batch had 9 teaspoons of tea. I’m left in the package with approximately four more teaspoons. Nowhere near 50 servings. I guess my hunt for an easy chai is back on.

I'm very fussy about tea. I have a reputation among family and friends far and wide for being picky about what makes a tea his or subpar. I live for a highly spiced, well balanced chai and so often find the options lacking. This double spiced chai is without question the best I've had in North America. My house goes through it quickly, and I recommend it to anyone that asks me for a well balanced black tea with something special. I wish there was an option to buy it in a larger bulk format with less packaging, but regardless I will continue to buy it every month. I also recommend this brand's earl grey. Do not bother with their regular chai, though the vanilla is decent. This is a premium product and any chai fan would be delighted with this as a gift

We have bought this tea before and we have purchased again because we love it and can’t be without it. It has a wonderful warm and spicy flavour and a small amount makes a superb cup of tea. We also like the ethical values of the company and are pleased to be able to support their work by buying this tea.

Ho già provato altri tè di questa marca e sono tutti freschissimi,super profumati e squisiti. Adoro le spezie e ormai ne riconosco al palato la qualità e la freschezza e queste sono senza paragoni. Da provare anche la Cannella...dopo tutte le altre sembreranno segatura...Bravi e seri!

Excellent flavour Worth buying

So lecker! Kenne chai’s aus Indien, habe diverse Produkte in Hamburg gekauft. Dieser Tee double spice ist für mich der Allerbeste! Er ist kräftig im Geschmack und dabei sehr ausgewogen!!! Sonst schmecken die Tees fade oder zu stark nach Nelken, Zimt oder Cardamon. Die Angabe 5 flache Teelöffel auf 1 Liter passt, kann auch ruhig in der Teekanne bleiben und wird nicht bitter. Wenn man ihn so richtig stark trinken will, nimmt man mehr. Richtig toll. Die Hintergrund Geschichte von Vahdam Tee gibt in der heutigen Zeit ein sehr gutes Gefühl, ob frisch vakumiert oder Lohn für die Teepflücker. Wir haben uns in Indien mit Teepflückern/innen bei der Arbeit unterhalten, da bringt Tee trinken keinen Spaß mehr. Ich bleib bei Vahdam. Ist auch ein tolles Geschenk...
