If I could give this six stars I would. It works really well, it doesn’t need batteries, and it doesn’t even need charged. It’s just an old-fashioned moisture meter. I do wipe it off as instructed in between plants so that you get an accurate reading with each plant’s soil. This has saved me so much time and aggravation wondering if my plants need watered. I sometimes just couldn’t tell by putting my finger in the soil. I realized that often times I was overwatering. This takes out all the guess work. My plants seem happier.

I saw this item on a gardening show and ordered one. It is very helpful when determining when to water your potted plants. I have several plants in pots and they seemed to have very different needs when it came to watering. It helped me solve the mystery of watering time. It is really easy to use. I have hydrangeas, tropical orchids, herbs, and succulents. I need to water them on very different schedules. The probe has helped me solve when each one needs water. They are doing so much better. I would recommend it if you are serious about gardening well.

Wow! What a great product! I've purchased other types and they never worked accurately, way too short, and ended up in the trash. These come in a set of two and I tested them both on close to 20 different size pots from 8" to 24 round. Easy to use, easy to read the gauge dial, and thickness is just right. Read the instructions before you test your plant soil moisture levels because I use a paper towel to wipe the stem off each time to help prevent any rust over time. I have total confidence in my watering expertise now! LOL Recommended, and I'll update this review if that changes in a year.

Good Hydration Indicator for your plants and it seems to work quite well. I found that, for a more accurate reading, it's best to leave it in each spot for about ten seconds and take two or more readings. Our Prayer Plant is quite sensitive for moisture and need to keep the readings in the green area for it to be happy. Too little water, the leaves start to curl and too much will make it turn yellow and this indicator keeps it quite happy as long as we don't let the indicator read in the red area or not stay at the high end of the green area for more than a day either.

I ordered the two set of these soil meters for my very tall Dieffenbachia. It is simple, just measures for the wetness or dryness of your soil. It's super easy to read and you actually get a better deal if you order the 2 set over the single. Keep one as a backup, if needed. It's plenty long enough for a pot that is 15 inches tall, as is my "monster plant" pot. Recommend!

Excellent buy! This item was recommended by ChatGPT, and is the exact same moisture meter my local plant store is using. Fast and accurate soil moisture readings, keeps me “in the know” on what my plant’s soil condition is, preventing me from over-watering, or worse, not watering as needed. I have never used one of these previously, and now I wonder how I got along without it. Great buy for the price. Just remember to wipe off the probe, with every use (each plant).

I use this for my houseplants and my container garden, so I don't overwater them. It's super easy to use: Just poke it into the soil. I like watching the needle go up while I'm watering each plant. I wipe the probe off in between with a dry towel. I like that it has a long probe, so I can use it in my big plant pots on the deck. It feels durable, and is a good value.

Worked well for a while until it didn’t, at least go one of them. It lasted several months before one just all of a sudden stopped working. I’ve not dropped my meters or had anything happen to them that may possibly cause it to stop working. One of the meters just doesn’t move anymore, it stays on dry even if I put it in a cup of water.

No idea why it to so long for me to find these! Absolutely fantastic tool. You can look at the pot with a dry crust and be convinced it needs watering 2 seconds later nope it’s wet. Check with a finger and confirm roots don’t need more water today. Quick and easy too.

It works as advertised; responds immediately and accurately. I particularly appreciate the extended probe length, as it is perfect for larger and deeper pots. I am completely satisfied!

Appareils bien reçus et fonctionnement satisfaisant, trés utile pour eviter l'exces d'arrosage en pot ou pleine terre grace au capteur long. Cependant, 1 des 2 capteurs ne fonctionnait plus (absence de réponse de l'indicateur visuel) et, suite à un échange via Amazon, une nouvelle sonde m'a été envoyée rapidement. MERCI.
