The Photogenic AKB-1 battery is designed for years of power for your "B" model StudioMax lights. The 12 volt, 2300mA lead acid battery will provide enough full-charge energy for over 200 flashes for the AKC160B and over 150 flashes for the AKC320B units. I'm working on a video that is the Ion vs the AKB vs Godox and needed the AKB. Got it delivered and battery was dead. Red and green light came on, but never blinked and when switched to flash, just never worked. Called Photogenic and a cool dude there suggested I go to Batteries Plus to look for a battery, as they would sell me one for 80.00 + 40.00 shipping. I didn't want to buy a brand new battery for a brand new AKB with brand new battery so I shipped it back. Sad how far behind the times Photogenic has fallen. Dead battery on delivery
So I read the other review but still ordered one. I'm working on a video that is the Ion vs the AKB vs Godox and needed the AKB. Got it delivered and battery was dead.
