I’ve been taking a taurine supplement (1,000 mg daily) for a few weeks and here’s what I feel: • More energy & mental clarity—without the jitters. This taurine supplement has worked out great. I take one every other day or so at night and it definitely makes getting to sleep a little bit easier. I use it to help with recovery from workouts. The capsules are standard vegetable-based capsules that have the typical flavor. Its not a bad flavor nor is it a good flavor. It's kind of cardboard-like. If you take pills normally the taste will not be an issue. The size is a bit larger than other capsules though. I had no problem with it, but for people who don't like having to take pills due to size may find these a bit annoying to take. Dimensions of the pill bottle and the actual pill itself can be seen in the photos I have uploaded. Included are 100 vegetable-based capsules that contain 1000mg of taurine each. Pros: *Does not taste disgusting *Cheap price *Effective Cons: *Quite large (-1/2 a star) Additional Considerations: Be aware this is a large dose supplement so if you are looking to start light, get a 250mg or 500mg(more typical) one first. The same company makes a 500mg version. Overall, NOW is a quality brand I trust for less common supplements. However these are the largest pills I have ever seen. Period. This makes them easy to stuck in the throat. There are not a lot of options available for Taurine, but the ones I have tried are at least slightly smaller. Also, difficult to put in a pill box if you have other pills.

These are fine, so far as I can tell. I’m not having them leave a taste, repeating, or causing any discomfort. Some people might find the size a bit uncomfortable. As you can see in the photo, they are a full inch long. If the on package advertising, and the few articles I found about this are to be believed (and some are from reputable magazines, such as the journal Nature, Science Magazine and The New York Times) this is the greatest of all anti aging supplements. The Mayo Clinic’s website said, more information is needed, but in proper doses it’s harmless. So it seemed like a good idea to me. Best case, a longer healthier life. Worst case I’m wasting a few bucks on a useless vitamin. Reality, my guess, is somewhere between the two. I will say this. Since I started taking this in the form of energy drinks I was able to take the eyeglasses restriction of my license because I became able to pass the exam without it. That could be coincidence. I’m not a doctor. I’m just saying that’s my experience with it.

This review is really more for Taurine itself then the brand. (Which is fine.) I am in my early 40's and gotten back into taking Taurine for various reasons.. A new surprise for me I have noticed in the few weeks I've taken it.. It seems to have de-aged my face a bit already in just a couple weeks. Its looking a lot smoother and not that I had really any wrinkling going but any starts of fine lines are diminished. Raised spots from sun damage are disapearing.. I am very impressed with this supplement overall.. For the things people know about.. AND for the help with my skin. If it's de-aging my skin.. Who knows how much it may be doing for my insides! I think this a MUST take Supplement for those 40+

Be very careful taking this supplement. Combined with certain medications it can slow breathing and even cause death. I was accidentally taking 2 with meds and couldn't wake up for 13 hours. It was scary and you can die from it. I didn't know that I purchased Xtra strength. Most women only need 500mg. Do your research. I was taking this and immediately passing out and didn't know what the cause was. Now I know. Follow instructions!! I was taking 2 and that is wayyyy too much!!
