Muzata 6Pack 3.3FT/1M LED Channel Aluminum U Shape Silver LED Strip Diffuser Channel with Milky White Cover Easy Installation U1SW WW 1M

Used along with LED COB lighting strips to add under cabinet lighting in our kitchen. Needed to do for a long time and finally had the time and courage to tackle it. We were nervous at first with doing our own DIY setup instead but it seems that the options have come A LONG way in the past decade. Hubby watched a Youtube video of someone doing similar project and it seemed easy enough. Definitely more complicated than getting the pre-made kits, which I'm sure work great but were more expensive and less customizable.... Anyway, back to these tracks, hubby said he was surprised with how easy they cut - he even was able to use compound miter saw with normal blade he uses for woodworking. He attached the dampener to it prior to cutting to avoid having to cut the plastic dampener and the metal track separately. Used painters tape and cut slowly and it worked great - no issues with that. He also used the provided clips to attach the tracks to the cabinets. BE CAREFUL or you could go through the underside. He pre-drilled to just the right depth and had no issues with the install - no screws stripped or tore through the cabinet. You could (as others have recommended) use some double sided adhesive tape but he liked the idea of being able to remove easily in case the lights need repairing down the road - soldering upside down is NOOO FUN =) His only 'complaint' was that the little end caps that come with the system wouldn't work with our setup. Half of the caps come with a small (maybe 1/8 inch) hole to feed wires through and the other half are closed off. He had to drill larger holes due to using 18 gauge wires for a longer run and didn't want the possibility of voltage drop. We only needed 1 end piece after connecting all 6 of our lighting bays together. Definitely an 'our situation' problem and nothing against the product. They'd be great as-is if you're doing 6 separate bays and not connecting them.

I don’t understand all the negative comments about installing the diffuser in the track. It easily snaps in by starting at one end then pressing it down bit by bit to the other end. You DO NOT slide the diffuser in the track; the fit is far too tight. Simply push one side in the groove on the track then snap the opposite side of the diffuser in with your thumb or fingers. Easy Peasy! The aluminum track, or channel, is very easy to trim to length with a hacksaw, Dremel or similar. The diffuser can be trimmed to length with a razor knife. The tracks come with 2 mounting clips per channel, which were very easy to install with a single tiny screw in each. One could easily substitute 3M foam LED mounting tape if preferred. Just be sure to clean the mounting surface with alcohol before mounting. The shape of the LEDs can still be seen thru the diffuser, but it is so much better than seeing the reflection of the bright LEDs without the diffusers. It may be that for the LEDs to not be very visible one would need LED strips with more LEDs located closer together. Fo example, instead of a 300 LED strip, try a 600. I am totally pleased with these and would buy them again. My wife loves them. They replaced halogen under-cabinet puck lights.

I used these for a kitchen project to run led strips as under-cabinet lighting. Generally speaking, the installation of these is pretty simple, mount the clips to your surface and snap the track into place. Mounting them under a cabinet posed it's own challenges but once done the installation was clean, and I'm very happy with the results. The clips hold the track solidly under the cabinet and the channel is low profile enough that it's almost unnoticeable under the cabinet. The channel and diffuser will offer solid protection from the kitchen elements, which is important as this particular light was going over the stove and cabinets next to the stove. The diffuser was a bit of a challenge to install as it fits very tight within the channel. Once you figure out the trick it goes in OK, getting it started was a bit tricky, especially trying to work upside down under a cabinet. They're also a bit stingy with the clips. My kit only came with enough clips to do 2 per section which didn't feel like enough to me. So I ended up using all 12 provided clips on 4 sections of channel. A few extra clips in the bag would be nice. But in the end it worked out. I did install a single 30" section and ended up just drilling a couple of holes and using small wood screws to mount it, which also worked fine. Overall I'm satisfied. The quality seems good enough, and the fit and finish of the end result is very unobtrusive. The diffuser doesn't impact the brightness of the LEDs any noticeable amount, and the lights look great in that area.

I ordered this track because of its low profile and diffuser lens. I anticipated that I would not use the supplied track clips but they were just the ticket and made installation much easier. I used this track with Armacost RibbonFlex Pro LEDs and it worked perfectly. The only issue I ran into was the wire hole in the end cap was too small for my wires. It was easy to enlarge the hole with a drill. Once installed it hid easily under the cabinets and the diffuser helped reduce the bright spots from the LEDs but did not totally eliminate them. All in all an excellent product that is priced fairly. I will use it again.

When I bought this I had a very limited idea of how I was going to apply it although I knew what I wanted. The "How-To" is very limited in the description. The strips I have are sections of about 18 inches with a plug at each end. My current application required two strips, plugged together and this is an issue with the internal dimensions of this item. The plug just won't fit! The solution was to eliminate the diffuser cover over the plus and have two pieces; just over the LEDs. The kit comes with clips, to be screwed into the mounting surface but I was short of room to drill a pilot hole. At my wife's suggestion, I applied a double-sided mounting tape to the back of the hardware channel and then applied the unit to a clean under-side of a shelf (cleaned with denatured alcohol). It works perfectly and I believe it will become a problem, the day I want to remove it! I really like this product and think it's going to work best with a complete strip (No plugs) where I apply my own connectors.

Very good quality, especially for the price. Looks great and is easy to install. Will not completely hide the hot spots but will dull them to about half way, which was enough in my case. I was slightly worried reading the reviews about some difficulty pushing the diffuser into the metal bar but had no issues whatsoever. I assume people are having hard time if they don't align the diffuser properly or they push in one side at a time instead of snapping in both edges simultaneously, from one end to the other. Fairly easy to cut with some basic tools but make sure to smooth the edges as they get very sharp after cutting.

Two issues which affect this review: the plastic diffuser not fitting and the metal clamps not snapping into place. - At least for my batch, the plastic covers are impossible to snap into place. I've tried using my fingers, tapping with a hammer, and sliding them in from one side but the tolerances are just too tight. I can get one side in fine but the other is just being held with friction at this point, not flush or snapped in. - When you attach the metal hooks that screw into the wall and hang on to the aluminum channels, the screw head prevents the metal clamps from fully snapping into place on the channel. With no screw (not useful), the metal clamps click into place but with the screw they hang on by friction. In my case these two issues are not dealbreakers nor do they affect actual functionality of the led strips. However it is still a frustrating experience to setup and not something I would buy again.

easy to work with and does exactly what we needed - prevents glare from under cabinet LED lighting. We even ran it under the over-the-stove microwave because that light is lame and it is great! Expected a lot more trouble by all the reviews saying it was difficult to snap the diffuser in, but that was not our experience.

This is the worst defuser, you can clearly see the led dots. I don’t recommend

Had to replace all of the LED strip lighting under our kitchen cabinets. This Al channel made for a very nice upgrade to the installation. Product is of good quality; the aluminum has a very nice finish as does the translucent diffuser strip. Very easy to work with and install. Installation looks very professional. The light is much more even and nicely diffused compared to the bare strip that it replaced. Very happy with the result.

These are really nice, I didn't use the diffusers, but they do snap in easily. Make the installation look clean and professional.
