These are perfect for the DS18 8” subs and have 4 screw holes which looks cleaner than 8. They’re plastic but well made and looks awesome

Love the red and the design of the grill and how it accents the DS18 8” speaker i got them for. Sounds great so far super easy to install even though i placed mine of the door panel and just cut the area i needed. Also have 4.5 ds18 speakers that i painted the grill red to match the 8” grill.

These are clearly marketed as speaker grills. However, they hardly increased the meat grilling capabilities of my speakers at all. Although, they do look awesome covering my DS18 Pros on my custom PA speakers. Furthermore, my PA, even though it is smaller, has some excellently loud DS18s and is capable of grilling faces and eardrums. So same thng as grilling a steak... Redeemed. I bestow upon these grills a full five stars. In red, these things just look rad, and a bit audacious on my PA cabinets. So they do exactly what I bought them for. I think they would thwart any accidental incursion into my cones. But someone with intent and motivation to stab my speakers could easily do so, as they act like a bright red target. Good price for a couple unique, well built, and fine finished grills. Win-Win and I will buy them again.

Great product for the price

I assumed these would be large enough to fit around and above my 6.5" speakers which I installed in boxes. In reality these are the same diameter as the speakers and designed to fit flush with the surface. This presented a problem since they are the same size as the speakers and there is no way to space them to be above the level of the speakers. I'm handy, so I made spacers from 1/4" plastic tubing to suspend these above the speakers. This works for my application, but I think there will be a lot of situations where these will not work the way the purchaser assumes they will.
