Great peoduct
I finally replaced.the 2002 version of Quicken. Q14 works flawlessly, both the PC and mobile versions. Quite a time saver.

It is doing the job for me
QRPM facilitates me recording regularly, keeping on top of my receipts, mileage tracking, etc. I can see my Schedule C or E ongoing, and verify my entries appear as I go. One thing that was difficult is I am not an accountant, and it doesn't come with textbook instructions for how to setup or fit by business. But overall, I am far ahead being able to get all my info organized and to my accountant at tax time.

Tech support hostage up-selling will not be tolerated.
My wife and I have been tag-teaming learning Quicken RPM 2014 and have been using it since the start of 2014. We have noticed no issues with it and have always thought the issue with it was us (in terms of learning curve). So now in 2015, we wanted to add an refinance, which involves adding a new account and paying out the old (i.e. payoff). Online tutorials showed an easy split of funds from the new account. We tried with no success to do it as the instructions remotely resembled the actual product. So we called in for tech support. The tech support is from India and you can barely understand the person who asks you to repeat yourself multiple times. But that is not the issue with us. He didn't even appear to understand what we were asking him to do or wanted to know our concerns. Instead he jumped straight to a conclusion that we had an issue. So, he put us on hold and had another tech come on the line who remote into our computer and told us he had to run diagnostic on the software. A moment later the C: prompt came on and he was now scanning our entire C drive! When I asked what the guy (named SKY) was doing he was agitated immediately and attacked me and question me as to whether I wanted my problem fixed or not. I said that I simply wanted to understand how what he was doing was even related to my concern. He said he could not help me answer my question. He only is tasked with understanding whether Quicken has issues or not. After he ran his diagnostic, he came on the line and said that we had corruption in our data file. If we had corruption, we certainly didn't see it..And, how in th world did an simple question about splitting transactions end up being a corrupt file issue? In any case, his next pitch was what makes this software and Inuit dead for us. He said that he'd have tech support which comprises of an INTUIT PRO ADVISOR and CISCO CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN. He pulled up a notepad doc that outlined the functions each of these two support personnel will perform. I will post a photo of the screen shot I captured with my phone. To top it off, he said the INTUIT ADVISER would cost us ~$170 and the CISCO CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN will cost us ~$240. Then when I told him I didn't understand how a simple call turns into an up-sale pitch, he simply hung up. I can't believe Intuit has this type of support and tactic. As a result of this one experience, I no longer trust Intuit. I'm done FOREVER! A note to Intuit, when you are the trusted financial software provider for someone, you do not want to do anything to risk that relationship. With this experience today, I say you definitely have earn my DISTRUST. And so, with all that I have invested in INTUIT, I will no longer support or purchase INTUIT software. The support is no less akin to poor upselling / hostage situation.

OK but has a few issues
This product includes Quicken Home and Business, so don't buy both, this is all you need. RPM uses tags for each property to organize transactions, and provides some nice features for landlords. I have a few issues with the implementation, - setting up a tenant and rent reminder is easy, but there is no way to change the rental income category on the reminder, and (for me) entering the rent reminder always enters the transaction with NO category that I then have to update. Is this a bug? - tags are a little restrictive. For example if you have tags for specific expenses like "123 Oak street remodel", there is no way to tell quicken to roll these up into the "123 Oak Street" property. I had to retag all prior transactions to the general property tag and put the prior tag name ("remodel", "roof" etc) in the memo field. - Some odd issues with mortgage reminders. There is an existing issue in quicken where the mortgage payment reminder does not allow a tag to be entered on the top line of the transaction (I don't believe this is specific to RPM), but without the tags in RPM the mortgage transactions don't seem to work properly. I have mortgages with principal, extra principal, escrow and a few other items and the reminder does not allow a tag on the principal line. The category on all lines is correct but without the tag, the principal line does not decrement the loan account like it should. When I manually add the tag, all is fine. This *also* seems like a bug in RPM that does not affect other quicken releases. When you contact Quicken chat support for RPM, since it is a specialty product the support people can't help with much. For this reason I wouldn't advise RPM for a new user of Quicken. But for landlords it is probably best to struggle through with it, rather than jerry-rig one of the other quicken versions to work for landlords.

Write this program for Apple as well!
Really need to produce a version of this program to run on Mac. I really want to convert fully to Apple in the house, but this program alone keeps me using a windows based PC.

A marginal release with no new features and same old problems
I began using Quicken in 1996. Over the years things got more complex and I needed additional features, such as property and investments. Quicken kept up until around 2009. Since then they have added "bells and whistles" such as automated data downloading and specialized versions for situations like property management. But during that time the quality of the product and in particular the quality of the technical support has dropped dramatically. Unless you buy a new version every year, you pay for technical support or use a forum monitored by non-technical users. There is no discernible way to obtain support for program crashes, data errors, or other issues related to faulty programming in "older" products. Unfortunately this release is another in a line of "dressing the dog" to go out. Errors from 2010 - 2013 still haunt the software and no amount of (data) file validation can correct the programming errors in areas such as accounts, categories, tags and report formats. I returned my 2014 version and went back to 2013. Why pay $80 to get more of the same? My choice is to get and keep 2013. To Quicken - you need to realize you can't ignore the installed base just by releasing another marginal upgrade.
