We recently purchased the Pearl People Counter for our public library, and we have been extremely impressed with its performance. As a smaller public library, understanding customer flow and peak times is crucial, and this device has been a game-changer in providing that insight. Key Features We Love: 1. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent solution for visitor measurement. We installed the SMS Storetraffic Pearl people counter in the museum, and it has been a key tool for obtaining accurate data on visitor flow. Installation was simple thanks to its wireless system, and the Wi-Fi connectivity allows for efficient real-time monitoring. Very useful for decision-making and optimizing the visitor experience. Highly recommended for cultural spaces, commercial spaces, or any location that needs reliable traffic analytics.

We've used door counters to determine how many patrons visit our library for a few years now, but they just provided a digital tally that we had to halve at the end of the year, and if we didn't keep an eye on the batteries or forgot to reset to zero at the end of the year our numbers weren't entirely accurate. This does all the work for us, including sending an email reminder that the batteries are low or the counter beam is blocked by something, and we can track not only annual status easily but weekly, daily, and hourly using the SMS app. It's really helped us to determine, on average, which days are busiest. This helps us plan programs, as well as make sure we have enough staff. A subscription isn't required (it retains a month of data with the free plan, but we decided to switch to paid so we don't have to worry about forgetting to check one month and losing our data. The folks at SMS are SO helpful and respond quickly if you need support or have questions. We're hoping to purchase another one for our lower level in the future so we can see how much traffic that space receives specifically.

Truly horrible instructions! i would not purchase ever again. Include the instructions with the unit. Not instruction videos you have to look at.

Item works as advertised, the app is easy to use as well. The ability to set the hours for counting saves battery life and is nice. Take your time when setting up and sticking to the wall, the double-sided tape is VERY sticky. We actually broke the plastic mount when trying to relocate our counter. Initially ordering a replacement mount was not as simple as I would have liked. However, a customer service rep did reach out to me and was very helpful with resolving my issue.

We needed counters for our two doors. It served it's purpose well, and set up was easy. Review is a cumulation of three users: This software has tremendous capability for capturing data and creating stories around who is visiting, when, and why. It can be a great advocacy partner in the ever prevalent be-visible/relevant-or-die cloud that hangs over libraries. As a data person I advocate for it. The team is supportive, the software is user friendly, and the data capture capability is robust. Up front time is needed to set up the software to get the most out of it in the long run; however, if all one is looking for is numbers in, numbers out, very little effort is required. I’ve had no problems. Customer service has been great. Customer service, profile set up and maintenance, training have worked well. Easy to update profiles, status and access as well as running reports. Rep very eager to provide one or more trainings via zoom, either as a group or one on one, and she was VERY RESPONSIVE. Only glitch that I can recall was regarding the initial billing with application of discounts vs. initial purchase and add service purchase, invoice clarity for reconciliation (not wrong , just hard to extrapolate and apply to the state mandated reconciliation process and documentation), and I believe some sort of documentation regarding international fees. Otherwise process very easy. It is creepy though that the vendor can track whether or not customers submitted reviews!

Very usefull device for business to begin collecting traffic data. TMAS portal could be a little more user friendly, but I definitely give 5 stars.

We have two pairs of door counters for our building's separate entrances. We really appreciate how easy they are to use. When something does go wrong (like they need new batteries) the support section on their website is very easy to use and simple. If you need extra support, their tech help folks are super friendly and helpful- probably the best support we have received for any purchase. We have found the free app to be sufficient for us but will be trying out their TMAS software to see how much value it adds. Overall, we've used three different door counters, and these are by far the best. Nothing more than you need (like camera detection), but great functionality and support.

We are really happy with this solution for our business. The onboarding process was very helpful, and all the reports are useful for our regular performance reviews. The system notifications (like low battery alerts and others) work well too. The only area that could be improved is the UX of the online platform, but it’s functional as it is.

We have been using the Pearl Smart People Counter for six months. It has been a trouble-free solution to our need to measure attendance, providing fine grain and big picture information. Been a fan of using these people counters. Very easy to use and install and have found it extremely helpful for making decisions based on our traffic. Also was able to use the app to see our KPIs. Highly recommend!
