How do they connect? I tried find device and it couldn’t find it?

Try connecting with a Lightning cable and making sure the small power switch is on for both devices. Your system should automatically recognize the device via Bluetooth after that. Will this work with an iPad 9.7”?

I do not have an answer as I only use it for my iMac at the desk

Does the mouse need batteries or si it recharagable? If it needs batteries, are the batteries included?

It's rechargeable with built-in batteries. It uses the apple lightning cable to charge, and to be recognized by the Mac OS. Basically, to get Mac OS to recognized, you don't need to find it via bluetooth. It will bluetooth pair it by just plugging the USB cable from the computer to the mouse, wait a few seconds, and then unplug it, and voila, it's paired.
