Winsor and Newton bamboo brush
This brush holds a lot of water and is good for my watercolor painting. Like the versatility of use for washes and finer details. Made well as all W&N brushes are.

Great hake brush. Holds so much water.
I haven’t had issues with this this brush losing hairs like others claimed. Love it. It holds ALOT of water. As a watercolor artist….trust this holds a lot of water. It does keep its shape also, but because it holds so much water it will bend while wet and when running it across a page, you should be careful how you run the brush bristles if you’re trying to get nice straight flat streak. Great for back ground washes.

Good quality, not necessarily the best in its type
Great brush, good material, width and density. Didn't lose hair with first uses, keeps its shape after use. Cheap finiky plastic cover for the tip, it would be much better to provide a more rigid one (cheaper brushes do). One less star because these brushes are supposed to be stored vertically, hanging. This should have a loop at the top for that, as many other brands have.

Winsor & Newton - What Can I Say More?
Full disclosure: I'm a fan. Winsor & Newton is arguably the best quality one can get in generally available art supplies (harder to find are Daniel Smith and Schmincker). I have yet to purchase a W&N product that I wasn't thrilled about -- and this was no exception. The balance is exquisite with an organic grip, and the bristles offer natural and balanced water retention. The tip is versatile enough for both responsive and broad gestural strokes. It feels like a natural extension of my hand and "stays out of my head" when I'm in a creative flow. Love it!

Love this brush but so disappointing
I love this brush so much and want to give it a 5 star but I just got it at the end of January, take very good care of it and a huge chunk of hair came out and now other hairs are slowly falling out now too. Very disappointing after having it for such a short time.

Good brush for watercolor - very pleased
Great brush. Good buy. Not sure what all of the negative reviews are about!! or how people abuse their brushes, but I found this brush to be great. I’m creating nice large wet washes, smooth blends, great texture and dry brush effects. Some bristle loss nothing major (maybe one or two fallout during my entire painting session). No more Loss than any other WN or Princeton or king art gold brush. For the price this brush performs great. Maybe if you buy a $52 brush it may work better. But if you’re looking for something that won’t break the bank Its a good option. I’m using for watercolor. I also take care with my brushes and wash gently and dry after each session. **Also lay FLAT To dry people!**** Otherwise water will creep down Into the glue of the ferrule and ruin brush! All in all very pleased.

Horrid odor
I don't know why there is such a rank smell from this brush when it is wet. Really a turn-off. I washed it with soap and water and hope that helps.

Gamechanger
Leute, investiert in gute Pinsel.
