I like the battery backup feature for my 87 year old mother in case she is reclined wen the power goes out, she will still be able to get out of the chair. Not sure how many times the battery will recline the chair but a partially used battery was able to lower the chair almost all the way before it died. The long cord was appreciated to be able to place the box out of the way and allow replacing/ testing the battery. The only improvement I would like to see would be a rechargeable battery and a built-in battery charging circuit to maintain the charge for peace of mind. I am afraid that the battery will be forgotten and when the power eventually goes out and she really needs it it may be dead and not serve its purpose.

Quality replacement

I previously ordered a power supply from another vendor and they sent me a defective one. This power supply worked just like the factory original that costs 4 times what this power supply costs. I was a little hesitant to order due to the low price and previous experience with another inexpensive power supply, but I am glad I decided to order this. It works just fine and chair even reclines faster than the OEM power supply.

Easy to switch out

We tried repeatedly to replace this item for one of our adjustable beds. You can’t search for adjustable bed parts it seems, they will only shunt you to the page to purchase an entirely new bed! I read the other reviews for this, triple checked voltage, amperage, auto eject features, and decided to spend less than $20 for a fix instead of $10K for a whole new bed. It actually works better! In fact, the missing piece was over on the Hubby’s side, but his side was running so smoothly compared to mine that I switched then one day when he was away.

Fantastic replacement part. I thought I wouldn’t be able to find one to replace the old one for my husbands chair. I was told they don’t make them anymore and the chair was only a year old. 🤷‍♀️ I purchased it and installed it and it works better than the original one did. So now I ordered a second one. Now I don’t have to replace the $1100.00 chair that my husband loves. The customer service was outstanding and the item arrived on time in perfect condition. We had a thunderstorm in my area and it messed up many devices including the recliner electric transformers. We went to the store they didn’t offer a solution but to get new ones so got into Amazon and this fixed the problem for a more affordable price than a new set !

For recliner

I was a tiny sceptical on the price, but positive reading the reviews. My Lay-Z-Boy couch is about 7 years old and maybe had 6 months worth the use and the power supply gave out. I’m glad I found this one at this price because it was a direct replacement with the exception of a battery backup that this one has. Yes it is just the power unit with power cord, but that is all you need unless you have a problem with the cord to the furniture.
