The best quality shea butter I have ever purchased. I love how smooth and creamy it is. It is very fresh and I can tell that it is authentic Ghanaian shea butter. It has a pleasant light nutty smell and glides nicely on the skin. It gives my skin a glow. Will definitely purchase again and recommend.

I ordered this a few weeks ago & it is the best Shea butter I’ve ever used. Shea butter is already one of my must have items in my toiletries. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, anti inflammatory, moisturizing, gentle enough to add anywhere on the body! Seriously, anywhere, I even got some in my eye yesterday, completely by accident, however, it did not hurt one bit. And do not worry if you have sensitive or acne prone skin. This will only help, it will not clog your pores even if it feels heavy putting it on. It will absorb & be amazing, especially effective when you put it on right before bed. I always use it after bathing, when my skin will absorb the most, just rub it all over. It even reduces sweating, including underarms. I live in a hot, humid climate. The fact that it reduces sweating, and of course being anti bacterial helps with smell, is amazing to me. Did I mention, I love this shea butter! Has a mild nutty smell, as shea butter should. It is easy to apply. Don’t let some small clumps of butter deter you, it spreads just fine. I also use it on my dogs. Their noses, paws, even when their coats seems a little dry. This product really takes away the need for so many other products that don’t work as well anyway. And that’s why I bought the big one. I know it will last quite a while & I know it will stay viable for a long time. And last but not least, it also feels good to know the people who make the African shea butter are directly benefitting from my purchase. If you still aren’t sure, just take a leap of faith and do it, I cannot think of anyone that I would not recommend this to.

I love shea butter, and I love everything FairTale Ghana does in regards to fair trade, putting people to work who wouldnt otherwise be able to, education for young folks, everything! That being said, let's talk about this butter! It's unrefined, meaning a slight nutty scent. I bought this big bag because we have replaced our usual lotion routine with whipped shea butter and we'll go through in a year or so between 2 adults. The packaging was beautiful--sealed butter so no leaks, wrapped, tied, hand-written note--I love these touches! Especially when buying on a platform like Amazon. It'a a reminder of the small company that is actually producing the product. When I weighed my bag (~2000 ft elevation), it was just over 12 lb, so more than I expected! It's also a wonderful price compared to the 2lb bag from FairTale Ghana. Because it's packed and sold so quickly, I know I will be the one to benefit from the shelf life of the butter. The product itself is lovely--the smell and color is right for unrefined. The nuttiness fades as it soaks into skin. It's all organic and natural, so it gets an A+ on that aspect. Also, the owner is on social media. When I messaged her about some questions on shea butter, she was very quick to respond! At the end of the day, I love everything about the product and company and will be buying again!

I highly recommend if you have dry skin. I have dry, sensitive, eczema-prone skin basically year-round and this has been a real lifesaver. My mother had purchased a pound of it and had given me some to try. After using it a couple of days in a row the effects were noticeable — my skin was soft and supple, and some of my dry patches and eczema were clearing up. So I went to order my own pound of it and there was only 11lb bulk left so my mom and I split it (I vacuum sealed smaller portions bc it comes in a single 11lb block and then store that in my pantry that doesn't see any sunlight) and I've been making my own whipped shea butter and I use it on my face and body after every shower. Works especially well if I exfoliate in the shower and then use it afterward. After a couple months of use, I have my dry skin under control and I've even been gifting my whipped butter to friends and family. Not only is it cost-effective to buy in bulk and ethically produced (though the carbon footprint to ship it from africa is aweful), but it also allows me to better control what ingredients go on my skin (no more fragrances, preservatives, chemicals etc.). Note: if you do not like the feeling of heavy moisturizers, you will not like the feeling of raw shea butter on the skin as it is thick and waxy feeling. However, if you can get over that it is well worth it!

I could not wait to write this review! I started purchasing raw Shea from an independent seller a few years ago. I loved it and my family loved it. One problem, his store is 8 hours from me! I’ve tried other companies but nothing compared... until today! I am beyond excited! It has the consistency of quality raw Shea. It is a pale yellow color with the true smell of raw, nutty Shea Butter. I’m not a fan of the smell but gave it 5 stars as I recognize that as the true natural smell. It is smooth and melts easily when rubbed into the skin. I disrupted the original packaging as little as possible so that I can rewrap it to preserve the unused product. I also made whipped Shea butter. It fluffed so easily that I did not have to mix it long. Highly recommend!

This is the best Shea Butter by far I have used for my products. It's the only one I use and will not switch to another brand. I had to order a different brand while it was not available and the texture, smell and quality didn't come close to this brand. I will continue to support this brand and mission and if you don't know what their mission is, I suggest you read it because as a mother I will always support women who want to better themselves and their children futures. Highly recommended 10000% and more.

I did a lot of research before ordering my first batch of raw Shea butter. I am so happy with my purchase from FairTaleGhana! The shea butter arrived quickly and was packaged well. I have made a few products with it so far and have loved every one! I use it every single day from head to toe! Literally! I was not a fan of the smell at first...an earthy smoky smell....but I quickly grew accustomed to it and the benefits of raw Shea butter are amazing! It has done wonders for my dry skin! I use it on my face twice a day and in one week it has almost completely cleared any blemishes, softened and faded psoriasis patches and has evened out my skin tone. My skin looks and feels so moisturized! I love it! I also did a lot of research on this particular company and I am happy to be helping by purchasing my products from them. I will definitely be ordering from FairTaleGhana again!
