Mini tower speakers masquerading as book shelf speakers
I dont know who's book shelf these would fit on because they are huge, its more of how deep they are. Which is odd because modern TVs tend to be so thin. My TV is a modern Bravia and is as thin as it gets so the contrast in depth between the two is really hard to make work aesthetically speaking. That being said, the sound is really fantastic, probably some of the best at this price point. I pair it with and older marantz from the early 2000s and its warm sound pairs nicely with it. Probably not as precise in its sound as some other monitor speakers, but I prefer the non clinical sound of them. I listen to alot of acoustic performances and vocal stuff and these work great for this. They also work great for movies. When straight out of the box, the tribble can be really harsh until the break in period is done, it took a couple of hours of listening for it to sound the right way. Initially tribble was painful but sounds excellent now. The bass with these is really nice, and gets it just a enough umph to make getting an external subwoofer and option but not a necessity, but it all depends on what you listen to. The general look is really nice for the speakers, the faux wood covering is kind cheap looking on close inspection and I'd imagine it not holding up over the decades but they look just fine from a normal distance. Overall appearance is sharp. I just wish they were not as deep for my kind of set up.

Solid value for money
As someone who has owned speakers that cost 8 times as much as this, these are fantastic for the price. They go really deep due to the power port (audio science review has a frequency response graph that confirms this), and they're on the brightish neutral side without being fatiguing, which is something I love. They look high quality, and aren't hard to drive amplifier wise. Would definitely recommend especially when they're on sale.

Worth the money. Sound great. Kinda big.
Love these speakers. I bought to pair with my es60 towers. They are kinda big for bookshelf speakers. They sound great. Can’t beat the price great value. I wish I bought Polk a long time ago. Have them powered by a couple McIntosh amps and they sound great at all volume levels

Big, heavy, sturdy and constructed of very high quality materials
The reviews are so confusing because they are literally for different models in the lineup. Amazon please fix this. ES20 Review: I live in a studio apartment in NYC so getting a 5.2 system was overkill by far. I bought these ES20 monitors to compliment a single ES60 in a bi-amp configuration. As standalone bookshelf speakers, these aren’t bad at all. The mods and highs are CRISP and CLEAN. As you can imaging the bass is not ground shaking but it is adequate. Where these monitors really shine is when I connect my ES60 giving me an immersive experience. I ordered everything in white and omg they are a masterpiece. Zero regrets here except perhaps I could have gotten away with using the ES10’s as well ES60: I’m operating a white single unit in a big amp configuration. One channel for the highs and another channel from the amp for the mids and lows. Much like my review above for the ES20, the 60 is crisp, clean and loud once powered up well. I initially had 80 watts going to the speaker but they seemed weak so now it’s 160 and perfect. Could probably be even better with more. More than adequate for an apartment. Again it’s not going to rattle your floors but damn this thing can get loud. I probably don’t need a separate subwoofer but that’s always an option if you really crave hair raising bass. 5 Stars all around for build quality, weight, appearance, clarity and loudness!

front speakers
sounds great for my ears wasn't a fortune and yes i know that there are supposedly better out there but these fit my purpose and are worth the money. no weird vibrations or distortion. Paired with an rsl speed woofer

Very Good for Home Office
Like so many bookshelf speakers these days, this one tries to be a jack-of-all trades and doesn't necessarily excel at any of them. That being said, I got them at a nice price on Prime Days and found them great value at that price, particularly for my small office. They are very heavy and pack a wallop on the low end - quite impressive for the speaker type. Unfortunately, I bought the Walnut and found it to be quite unappealing to the eye - weird color and a fiberglass-like simulated woodgrain. I sent these little punchers back; if the black ones come up at the discount price I'll revisit my purchase.

Don’t over think it. Buy them
Don’t over think it. There’s good. It’s gonna sound good. Give it a few days for everything to break in. You’re going to like them. And they look great

Beautiful design and HiFi Grade audio quality.
The Polk Signature Elite ES20 is a stylish bookshelf speaker with a clean, modern design that I really appreciate. The sound is detailed and smooth, with clear mids and highs that make music enjoyable. For its size, it performs well, but like most bookshelf speakers, it needs a subwoofer to truly shine. I’ve paired mine with an SVS SB-2000 Pro, and the difference is night and day—the sub fills in the low end beautifully, making the system complete. My current setup is WiiM Pro Plus → Fosi ZD3 → Fosi ZP3 → dual Fosi ZA3 amps (in mono) powering the ES20s, with the SVS sub handling bass. In this chain, the ES20s do what they do best: deliver crisp, engaging sound without strain. If you’re planning a 2.1 system, these speakers are a great choice, just make sure to add a good subwoofer for full-range performance. Update: After the break-in period, the bass performance and clarity have improved. They are now more dynamic and punchy—for the price, I think these are great!

Amazing punchy sound with a good deal of bass and clear highs. Perfect for music.
These are fantastic speakers - I'm a little blown away just how good they sound for bookshelves. These replaced some Definitive Technology towers I had in my small office. Love those speakers but they were too big and over powered the room. I wanted something with a smaller footprint but was worried about the loss in bass and midrange punch that the def techs have (they have a built in 12" subwoofer). Needless to say these things are fantastic - the bass coming from this speakers has taken me a back. Needless to say I'll be keeping these - not even sure I really need a subwoofer (though I am using these mainly for music - if you are using for a home theatre set up you'll still want something to hit those low notes. Don't hesitate on these ones, they are truly excellent.

Toll bin begeistert
Super Klang für den Preis Hammer Habe sie mit den KEF Q5 und KEF iq5 verglichen und die Bühne ist voller und grösser . Der Bass ist enorm und die Höhen klarer .
