Arrived in a nice package, green and healthy. I also orders a 2 year old one, if I order next time, 2 year old is the way to go, looks way bigger compare to little ones. Overall, impressed with service, instructions and quality of plants.

I received to healthy seedlings that survived shipment from CA to IL. The soils was def on the dry side and half of the needles were brown towards the bottom (a long trip). However, life still remained towards the top, nice and green. I couldn’t stop smelling the package they shipped in! More fragrant than my live Christmas tree! Within minutes of opening package, I removed and watered right away. Then proceeded to plant them according to provided directions. I hope they make it! I’m slowly going to acclimate them to Chicagoland weather. Luckily, we have had a very mild Winter and feeling their first Midwest air as I type this. Thank you!

I was nervous to order this product because I've never had good luck with plants shipped to me before. However, I could not be more happy. My pine arrived about 5 days early. The package included the pine, care instructions on the front of the page and an informational on the back, a sticker, and my invoice. Japanese Black Pine is typically used for Bonsai, so it was thoughtful for the Bonsai bit to be included on the back of the care instructions. The pine itself arrived in great condition and I could tell a lot of care went into its packing. I will definitely be buying from them again! Plant arrived in a cardboard tube (like a rolled up picture would) and the plants were okay and so replanted immediately and today, they are doing well and have doubled in size. So I am very happy with the purchase.

I ordered 3 black pines and they came in somewhat in good conditions (a little bit of yellowish inside of all 3 pines). I planted them in bonsai pots with bonsai soils...they all died within 10 days...very disappointed and don't know if they were slowly drying from the shipping or the soil that I bought was bad. I would have give a 5 stars if they have survived at least a month.

great specimen, well packed - as described

It looked a little sad when it arrived but we ordered it in the dormant season thinking it would have the best survival chance. The tree perked up and is doing well. We have inside sitting in a window until the spring. Can't wait for it to grow a bit more.

The item came in a very well packaged box. It was a healthy sapling that wasn’t dormant, but was also not in its time of growth. I purchased in September and our winters start around December in zone 7. I put it in a pot in the garage by the window until late march of next season and it is taking off and very healthy. If you don’t see signs of growth right away just give it time.
