If they were bigger, I don't think they would look as realistic as a candle.

**Q: Does it need to be completely dark for the light to come on? I have patio string lights that we use at night, so it's not super dark in my back yard.**
A: I believe they would come on if not too bright...I love these...they are very reliable and I use in the pool or on the deck.  They come on at low dusk.

A: We recommend that you can tie the bottom of the flame pool lights with a string.

These are so pretty! It is my second order of them and the first ones lasted like four or five years, out in the Arizona sun day in and day out. I hope these are just as durable, but time will tell. The flickering looks just like a candle and the fact that they are solar is very nice and cheap to operate. They last all night long with bright light and the size is perfect. If they were bigger, I don't think they would look as realistic as a candle.
