Good Book for Beginners
This is a good book. My son is 12, and this was on the right level for him. He has good facility with math and language, but he had little knowledge in these areas specifically. This got him off to a good start.

Great beginner/entry level book for JS coding
This book covers all the basics for JavaScript coding. It covers a LOT, like a mini beginner-friendly textbook. It summarizes plenty of terminology and concepts fairly well. Reading after the first chapter may seem intimidating at first glance but it is very easy to follow through by coding as you read (highly recommended). The explanations of coding methods and the workflow (the why and how) make it easy to understand as you dive straight into JavaScript coding. I am a beginner coder so this book was great for me, though I am not a teenager. Being straight forward with very little fluff, I feel like the book is geared toward more serious learners. To those new to coding: follow through the tutorials/books, take breaks, and don't give up!

Very Helpful for a Newbie Like Me
I started with zero background and was able to follow along well . The writing is clear and the content is structured in a way that's accessible to beginners like me. I especially appreciate the "Coder's Checklists" that run through each chapter; they kept me motivated when I realized how much I've already learned, which was welcome when I was working on some of the more challenging material. Great book!

Excellent JavaScript Beginner's Guide
As someone with minimal scripting experience, I appreciate that the author covers basic programming fundamentals like variables, functions, loops, and more. The Hacker Hints and Coder's Checklists are nice additions that give helpful advice and help solidify one's understanding of the concepts covered in each chapter. I highly recommend checking out this JavaScript guide, whether you're a novice or an experienced professional.

Easy to understand.
I had nearly no knowledge when it comes to JavaScript but this book really helped me get started. Everything is explained really nicely in an easy to understand way even if you're newer to coding. Strongly recommend in you're looking to get into JavaScript.

Excellent introduction to javascript
I bought this book as a way to learn basic JavaScript. I found it easy to understand and good for beginners, but it also goes into a lot of detailed concepts. Great for beginners!

If you know the teen wants Java and wants to do websites, this is the book!
most teens don't want java script and most teens are more into games than websites.
