In years to come I’d love to upgrade to one that’s worth hundreds of pounds. However, for this price point even without plug in speakers it’s perfect. It looks amazing like an amp at the front. The sound is actually amazing. If you can fork out a bit more don’t just get any old cheap briefcase one. This one is truly the one to pick!! I will upgrade even with speakers down the line but even for now it’s crisp.

Great value. In built speaker Sound is decent enough (coming from the generation where speakers were key!) You can always plug in speakers or Bluetooth speakers to get more bass quality. Nice looking piece of kit.

Very pleased with this, especially after reading some very negative comments regarding sound quality. We are of the generation that had very high spec turntables with excellent sound quality- still in the loft here. I wondered how we would like this but we are very happy. The portability of it is great and I live it’s comoact size.Very nostalgic as I remember playing records on my father’s old record player. I nearly didn’t order because of the poor reviews- lesson learnt!

This was a gift for my teenage daughter, who wanted to be able to play some of our old vinyl. 30 years ago, you would be able to get a brilliant mid range record player quite cheaply. That market really does not exist anymore, so to get anything that produces great sound you really need to spend a lot of money. Unsurprisingly the sound quality is quite poor, but it does what is say on the tin. This model has Bluetooth in and out, which is why it’s a little more expensive than some other models. That said, it looks great, is nice and compact when not being used. In addition my daughter is getting great pleasure in learning about static and dust, level surfaces, and balancing the needle, - which was a right of passage for those of us of a certain age! If they could only put a better amplifier and speaker in it would be perfect. But then again, you can’t seem to get that in a tv without buying external kit, so I don’t think you can expect much more here.

Definitely worried about this after reading other reviews. But it was returnable so I took a chance. I’m totally happy with this player! The sound is decent, the structure is sturdy and the design is excellent. Overall a decent player for the under $100 mark.
