Is there a seal under the lid and does it have an odor and taste?

I am on my second bottle of this product and don't remember and inside seal.  There really isn't much of an odor and haven't tasted it because it belongs to the dog.  I have been using it to improve gut health and eliminate loose stool in my dog.  It does work.  No more messy stool and I continue to put on her once a day.  I recommend this product.
