How do you attach the panel to an outdoor solar light? Did you glue it??

I removed the broken solar cell first, connected the wires, then put down a bead of calking and pressed this new one into it creating a good seal (These were the same size or very close to broken ones I removed). Has lasted two summers now and still working.

Can i build a solar panel from scratch

I guess you could if you wanted to. These are best used to replace broken solar cells for those solar powered outdoor lamps you place along a pathways.
