Awesome Swing!!
Ordered this swing and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived two days early. There is some assembly required, but the instructions are very clear and easy to understand and everything fit together perfectly. It comes unfinished, but it looks so good, that it would be a shame to paint it. If anything, i may just let it weather and apply a clear urethane on it. The swing itselft is very well constructed, sturdy and very comfortable, so comfortable that we may not even add cushions. I can see this swing providing many years of enjoyment on our new porch.

Truly outstanding swing!
So very easy to give this swing 5 Stars! The craftsmanship is outstanding, just as you'd expect from the Amish. It's "fairly easy" to assemble, but I did have to re-drill two holes in the arms to get the bolts to fit. There's not one single knot in any of the wood pieces, all pieces are pre-sanded, and all edges of all pieces are rounded for a nice, smooth look. All the hardware is zinc coated and should be rust-free for many years. This company uses only A+ treated pine (again, NO KNOTS), and since I got the 'natural' wood swing that I won't be painting, I did apply a very good quality sealer to the whole swing just to further preserve the wood. VERY highly recommended!

Sturdy, well built, beautiful
Bought this to put in front porch for my 92 yr old Mom and I, to enjoy sitting outside in the evenings. I chose the white one, and I’m very happy with how sturdy and comfortable it is. I chose this swing because of how it curves in on the knee area, and is comfortable when sitting. My husband and I assembled it and instructions were easy to follow. Arrived sooner than approx time stated. Came with all hardware needed to assemble and also chains for hanging. But since it doesn’t come with the hardware to hang swing on, We also bought the heavy duty springs to hang it on and we are very pleased. I would definitely recommend to friends because it is well made. Oh, and it also came with a small jar of extra white stain.

Built to Last and Comfortable
My porch swing is very important to me. I have always bought the ones at a home improvement store for $50-80 that lasts a few years. This time I wanted a "good" swing. Well, I got a great swing! The frame is made out of 2x4s. The slats are 1" thick just like the description says. It's so comfortable. In fact, you can adjust the angle of the seat using the chain (i.e. the front of the seat higher or lower). My husband said it was very easy to put together. He even mentioned that all the pre-drilled holes lined up. The chain that comes with it is heavy duty too. I've attached a picture of when we first hung it up (without stain). Also, the estimated shipping was June 2-20, which is a wide range, so I wasn't expecting it when the swing arrived on June 1! I would definitely buy this again but I don't think I'm going to have to buy another swing for a long time.

Love this swing!!
Rather than using this on the porch, I picked a relaxing corner of the yard and buried 2 4in x 4in x 8ft cedar posts about 2.5 ft deep using 90lbs of concrete on each post. I spaced them about 6 inches wider than the swing. Then screwed a 5" stainless steel eye bolt into each post with eyes facing inwards (I have since countersunk the nut on the other end and cutting the bolt flush with the post with a hacksaw. Less visible this way.) I added some shade by building an arched pergola-style roof by cutting a couple of 10"x6' redwood posts into an arch shape and attaching one to each post, then screwing thin slats evenly spaced across the arches. Before hanging, the frame and the swing were given a generous coat of redwood-tinted Thompson's water seal. The swing was then assembled and hung using the included instructions. I've sinceplanted a honeysuckle vine at the base of a post. It has climbed up the post and onto the roof and provides natural shade. I also picked up a long outdoor cushion and pillow at the big orange hardware store. It took a little work to build, but my wife and I absolutely love going outside in the evening after a long day and relaxing on this gently swaying swing with a cup of sun tea. The 5ft is plenty sturdy for us, but if I had to do it again, I would get the 6ft so I could lay down and read. I didn't realize how much of a stress relief this would be, and I actually look forward that down-time.

Swing Swing
I’ve been using these chairs for about six years I service apartment buildings and when their old wooden chairs go bad I get these. I love it that the Amish people make them but really they’re a good quality, thick wood well put together.

Great swing but…
Great swing, easy to put together but several slats were split. I had to buy some wood glue and clamps to try and correct the breaks. Luckily they were slats on the very top and bottom of the swing so not structural. It’s great value for the money though considering Home Depot was trying to sell this exact swing for almost $500.
