Awesome Product - I Love It
I’ve been using the homelabs portable dehumidifier for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I bought it because the humidity in my home was getting uncomfortable, and it’s made a huge difference. It pulls moisture from the air efficiently, and I noticed results within the first day. The air feels fresher, and there's no more damp smell in my bedroom. It’s also helped reduce condensation on the windows and has made the space feel much more comfortable overall. The design is compact but powerful. It runs quietly, and the water tank is easy to remove and empty. I also love that it has an automatic shut-off when the tank is full and a clear indicator light, so you know when it needs attention.

Great for Small Spaces—Effective and Reliable!
I purchased the Homelabs compact dehumidifier back in September of 2024 for my small bathroom in NYC, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The unit's compact size, along with its convenient handle and wheels, makes it incredibly easy to use and move around—excellent features for my needs! I had been battling orange mold on the ceiling and tiles, which had spread to the walls, leaving behind an unsightly glaze. Cleaning it with white vinegar felt like a never-ending chore. However, since incorporating this dehumidifier into my bathroom, maintaining a mold-free environment has become much easier. During the humid season, it’s incredibly satisfying to empty the tank two times a day, knowing that my walls are now dry and free of moisture. Additionally, I want to highlight Homelabs' outstanding customer support. After eight months of use, I noticed that the fan was running, but the tank would still be empty during humid days. I reached out for assistance and customer support responded the very next day with helpful suggestions on how to reboot the unit. After unplugging it for a day, it started working perfectly again! I’m truly grateful for this little machine and for the excellent support from Claire and Camilla! If you’re dealing with humidity issues or mold in your small space, I highly recommend the Homelabs dehumidifier. Thank you, Homelabs!

Garbage- Lasted only 20 hours
Lasted about 20 hours, then it flashes an E3 error code…Cleaned the filter and did a hard reset, still E3. Had to throw it away.

This thing works beautifully
Our master bathroom has no fan, which I find crazy. We’ve had growing concerns over mold and peeling paint since we moved in three years ago and are always having to wipe the mirror to see ourselves after showering. This machine changed all of that. The mirror is crystal clear when we step out, and because we attached a hose that runs into our tub we are able to see how much water was being pulled out of the air, and it was significant! Set up was simple, and we hope it will last well. For its size, it’s remarkably quiet, and I offer that endorsement as the lightest sleeper in the world. It’s being used in a bathroom whose door is feet away from where our newborn sleeps too, and it has never woken him. It’s just a low, steady, no-vibration sound (initially we tried a smaller one that we had to return due to a low, loud vibration it caused). The only annoying thing about it is not having a way to disable the loud “BEEEEP!” it makes when it first turns on (I YouTubed it and everything, and I finally found someone who found a way, but I’m not that mechanical and don’t want to mess anything up.) It’s a little big and bulky in our bathroom, but I’d rather have to deal with that than with mold! This thing is [probably quite literally] a life saver.

Otherwise very nice, but humility sensor is way off, and not energy efficient for it's small size
Humidity sensor reads about 10% higher than reality. And is not energy star, and not energy efficient, especially considering the small size of the unit (1000 sqft size). It seems to come on way too often, and for way too long given the humidity reading is under what is set. It uses as much as my midea 35pt/3500sqft unit. Other than these two things, this is a really really good dehumidifier. Controls and timer work really well. Water container is small, but what do you expect for such a small unit. Really like the size, and is really quiet for a dehumidifier. Works well for the slightly larger than 1000sqft area it's in for us. Not fond of the loud beeping--wish there were a way to turn it off completely.

Quiet and efficient
An excellent dehumidifier for small spaces. My Lexus ES350 got some water damage due to clogged drain holes and the floor got soaking wet. I don't drive sometimes for weeks (retired), have 2 cars, so I didn't notice this problem, but when it was way too late. I have a small wet/dry vacuum and got most of the water out, but still, everything remained quite wet inside. I ordered and received this small Homelabs 1000sqft dehumidifier and put it on the front seat on the passenger side. I checked it 2 hrs later and whoa, it pulled out a lot of water. The collection cup was more than 1/2 full. The unit was set to "Continous" mode. I dumped the water and left it running overnight, trusting the auto shutoff. In the morning the cup was full of water and the floor felt barely wet. So, it's still running and I'll do this until the car is bone dry. The heat that the unit's compressor generates also helps the water to evaporate. I'm very happy with this product, it does a fantastic job. It would do a great job in a home's small room as well.

Exceeded expectations!
A great product! Fantastic, compact, efficient, attractive design. It even comes with a handle for easy transport. It runs pretty quietly--even in turbo mode. The monitor/readout panel is easy to read and to use. The dehumidifier brought the whole house humidity down from almost 80% to around 50% in 2-3 days. (<1000 sq ft bungalow). I will note that because I used turbo mode, the tank/reservoir filled up at least once a day. (Proof that it's doing a great job, I say). However, it was easy to open, empty, and put the tank back in. When I used the comfort setting, it took a little longer to fill up the tank. The dehumidifier comes with a drainage hose, so you can avoid emptying the tank if you use it. Very pleased. So pleased that I wrote a product review for the first time. Great product; great value. In fact, I bought a second one for my garage. Thanks, hOMeLabs team!

Not very durable
After a year and a half of use in our small (900 sf) home in Florida, ice build up on the coils appears to be from refrigerant leak and evidently the auto-defrost feature failed....a little digging suggests that both issues are common with Homelabs. I called the warranty department - warranty is good for only a year, and Homelabs declined to do anything about it other than offer a discount on a new purchase. While it seemed like a good purchase at the time, it is not durable and Homelabs does not back their product.
