Shop Quink Blue Ink Bottles

Parker's Quink and Schaeffer's Skrip ink are the two I find best, for my fountain pen.

I've become quite a fan of Parker inks. I used to be a bit of a snob and have purchased all sorts of expensive inks from around the world but after all that waste of money I find I really like just the plain old Quink inks the best. They don't gum up my fountain pens and the ink dries fast so there is a minimum of smudging. On the down side, you need to know what the limitations are. This is of course not permanent (the bottle says washable) and it does bleed through cheap paper a bit although not as bad as most blue inks I have used (like Waterman). My experience has been that all blue inks bleed through cheap paper. I've never found one that didn't but this one is one of the better ones on that score. I also really like the color which is more of a blue-blue rather than a blue-black. If you need something permanent and which will not bleed through any paper no matter how cheap - try Noodler's Bulletproof Black Ink. It's awesome.

This is now my favorite fountain pen ink. I'm under the impression that it is more water based than other Inks I have used before (such as Watermans.) Because of this, I am immediately noticing improved flow and ease of writing than before. But the biggest plus is that it doesn't leave lingering stains. JUST EXTREMELY EASY CLEAN UP ON MY HANDS - WOW!! To contrast, Watermans is gorgeous ink but leaves lingering stains on skin and table that is very difficult to remove. I've also tried the "Hongdian" brand of ink which is less attractive on paper and suffers the same cleanup issue as Watermans. Very pleased with this ink and will be purchasing it regularly from now on

Using my same old trusted fountain pen, I decided to try this ink for a change. I bought the blue washable version of the ink, and found out that this ink flows slightly less well. As a result the pen slides just a tad less easily over the paper. I have tried different paper/cardboard surfaces and I come out with the same conclusion. Probably that is due to lower viscosity, making the ink thinner and quicker to dry. Oh well, can't have it both ways I guess. Also, it seems that the actual color is a bit blacker than the advertised color, which is a bright blue (I got the blue washable ink). No sweat, still very legible and still good value for money.

Best ink to use in vintage fountain pens. I've used Parker Washable Quink ink for close to 50 years. It is a beautiful shade of blue, and it doesn't clog the inside of flow mechanisms.

Not expensive. It looks very good on the paper. Quick dry.

This ink works great in my Jenhao fountain pens. It is inexpensive, and has a nice blue color. However it is not waterproof so don't get it wet. This ink makes a controlled line in width and color, and NO fuzzy edges on papers that people normally write on...even the backs of envelopes! It also dries quickly to minimize smearing. Note that it says "washable" in the description, and because it is advertised as so, and actually is, that ups the score instead of depressing it, and it also writes beautifully, so it gets a 5 star rating from me!

I used this ink to refill my fountain pen. It worked really well. It entered my refillable cartridge extremely well. It went in nice and easy and none spilled out. It was advertised as blue ink and it is blue . . . not sky blue. . . not ocean blue . . . just blue. It dispenses from the pen very nicely and when the ink gets on the page it stays there. There are some things that I wrote over six months ago . . . and it is still there. I love this ink.
