Koala Waterslide Decal Paper INKJET CLEAR, 10 Sheets 8.5x11 Inch Water Slide Transfer Paper Transparent Printable Waterslide Paper for DIY Tumbler, Mug, Nails

I’ve used a few different brands of waterslide decal paper, and Koala’s clear inkjet version is hands down my favorite so far. Color quality: The print quality is excellent true to color, non fading, and very high definition. The transparency allows the background surface to show through beautifully, which makes it ideal for customizing light-colored mugs, glassware, and many of my custom model kits. Ease of use: Easy to print on with my regular inkjet printer. Colors stay vibrant even after sealing with matte or satin finishes and applies smoothly. Functionality: No tearing or cracking once applied and dried. If you seal it properly and follow the instructions (especially the drying and sealing steps), it performs flawlessly. Just make sure your base surface is light enough to show the design clearly as with any clear backed decal, dark backgrounds will make the artwork disappear.....UNLESS you print in reverse, spray white and apply the top sheet instead of the backing side. Highly recommend this for anyone doing custom crafts, model-making, or making personalized gifts. Great product, great results.

This waterslide paper is so sturdy it worked perfect for my project it was easy to use...You totally can't beat the price for such good quality paper... definitely will be purchasing again

If you follow the directions that are on the package, you’ll have decals even better than those commercially available. A few hints: set your printer to the high quality paper setting; after printing let the ink dry; then spray on a clear acrylic or lacquer making sure there’s at least three coats. When that dries you can apply the decals to whatever. With the right products you can do it all in an evening. The results I got were great. It was easy and the decals didn’t tear when applied. The writing and logo decals are on HO scale scratchbuilt buildings.

directions say they want you to top coat them before you place them. the problem with that is once you spray them you’re eliminating the residue that allows you to stick it on the object in the first place. This led me to wasting a lot of sheets and not happy with the results. when I try to place the sticker without using a topcoat on it, the image was dissolved from the water. how can this be a water transfer if water is making it ruin the image. this happened on both my inkjet and my laser printer so if it’s ruining an image that was printed with a laser yeah no thanks

The paper worked fine but wasn't adequately packaged for shipment. It arrived with some creases, making some areas useless. But there were plenty of un-creased areas for the small decals I was making.

Works. Needed to buy as well is acrylic spray. Not easy to find. Works. A relief because MAAC replaced its wings decal with a pressure sensitive version that is too thick for hand launch gliders and other light free-flight models. I scanned the old decals and Koala paper made good copies. Sometimes a lot of intricate background removal using PAINT was needed.

I found this waterslide decal film easy to work with and provided excellent results. As you can see, I am using this product for scale modelling decals. The decal prints well, takes less than 30 seconds to release in warm water and sets exceptionally well. I had to peel off one of these little decals and was impressed with the adhesion and flexibility of the film which allows it to conform perfectly on irregular surfaces. In a separate article, I read that Rustoleum 2X Semi-Gloss Clear was rated the best for sealing the printed ink on the film. I applied three light coats as recommended which provided excellent results. I waited 5 minutes between coats, then 30 minutes after the third coat. Then I carefully cut out the decal, immersed in warm water for about 20 seconds and applied. You want to align the decal as close as possible as you don't have much time to realign before the decal starts to adhere. Highly recommended!
