Great heater. But had to return
I am a Home Builder and I purchased this to host one of the homes I was building because the gas company is having a shortage in Meters plus the basement apartment has mini splits so I won't have any heat until the end. It was darkly easy to hookup. I went off of the recommendations and got a 50 amp breaker and hardwired a 6 4 wire I had extra of directly to the breaker. I'm not sure what some of the bad reviews were about. It works like a furnace warm air but with a big enough fan to circulate it through a fairly large home. I used it on a 2 story hoke plus a basement and it heated the main and upper floor just fine. So about 3000 sf. Obviously the upstairs wasn't as warm. So for the price I would definitely recommend this. It saved me money from the bugger name brand and the larger heater I read you have to use a 100 amp breaker or it trips. I'd like to see if it would run off a standard 8 4 range outlet. My Electrician said it could heat up the wires more and 40 amp might trip.. Update. 3 weeks later have to return . They accepted the return through Amazon. The Hester started sparking and making a noose like a screw caught in the blade. Which is unfortunate because it was heating the basement and main floor really well on a 4300 sf home. The upstairs we had the furnace running.

Avoid at all costs because if you donโt, it will still cost you.
These heaters are unreliable junk. Dr. Heater makes you jump through hoops to resolve any issue and then want photos and other information to support the sending of replacement parts. They send a video that doesnโt demonstrate the actual repair or assist with diagnosis of problems. The internals are situated in the housing like a German vehicle - accessing screws and parts is impossible unless youโre prepared to entirely disassemble the thing. Then, when you do, youโve breached the warranty. We purchased 6 of these and have had issues with all of them. We would not have ordered this one if I had known about it in advance of the order. We now have $4k in useless heaters that cost us more to diagnose and repair than they are worth. When you call them, you will not speak with technical support because Tech Support is in China. This is purely a sales organization building unreliable knock-offs of well known products. Donโt wast your time trying to repair in the field.

Kept a 3200 sq ft house warm
I was hesitant to buy this because there weren't a lot of reviews on it when I got it but it worked great. We were heating a 3200 sq ft house during February in North Idaho so we could mud and tape the drywall and it kept it around 60 degrees while it was turned up about halfway. There isn't a temperature setting. Just a low to high dial so I don't know what temperature it was supposed to be set to but it stayed around 60 in there. We had the walls insulated but not the ceiling and it still kept it warm. If you are heating an un-insulated space this probably wouldn't work. I had this wired directly to the circuit panel and before we insulated and dry-walled you couldn't really tell it was on except that the fan was running. BTW the fan always runs but heat doesn't always come out so if you stand in front of it you might just feel air blowing. And it doesn't put out heat the way a kerosene heater or forced air furnace does. It blows out heat that at best I would say feels warm, not hot. But if it's running in your building long enough to warm the place up it will keep it warm. The only downside to this heater is the cost to run it. The electric bill for one month of this heater running was $400 higher than the previous month. But we were heating a large space and it was only a temporary heat source that is safe to run without ventilation. I would buy again but only for temporary construction heating. Not as a permanent main heat source.

Super unit does a GREAT job
I am writing to share the details of a great purchase. We bought this unit to provide an alternate heat source( while the gas line was being relocated) for a church building of about 2500 Square feet. The product was nice a quiet and did not cause a distraction from the worship services. It looks like something that belongs in a warehouse, but the quality build made up for that. The only thing that I would change would be the color. Black would have been easier on the eyes, but really that wasn't a big deal. Make sure that you have a professional electrician do the installation. This is not something that can be safely self-installed. Make sure that you have enough power to run this, it does pull a lot of juice.

Buy the 10,000 Watt heater
So far so good, I ordered this for one of my construction sites. I should have read the fine print closer!!!!! This model requires an 80 AMP cord and breaker which is more expensive but it definitely puts out the heat. Make sure you get the 10,000-Watt heater they only need a 50 AMP breaker and your life will be better.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
I purchased this heater for a small warehouse, 50X20 feet with a 8 ft ceiling. The heater has been on for over 14 hours and it has only increased the temperature by 2degrees. so we had to switch back to the 2 30 amp heaters that we previously used and cost us half the money. I contacted Amazon support and they told me to contact the vendor directly, which they in turn tried to give me a bunch of nonsense about possible improper voltage(which is not the problem) and then said the breaker might be to small(not the case). We have a licensed electrician, the heater states 10000 watts. 10000/240v*1factor = 41.66Amps. and the breaker is 50 amp. and amp read test shows 40.2 amps draw from the heater on each leg. So the problem is not the power. Now they required me to send all my paperwork and said it may only have a 30 day warranty, but amazon states 90 days. I am still waiting....... Also I will mention that the first rep I spoke with from the retailer hung up on me and I had to call back again.

Bought as another option other than using kerosene heat
Bought as another option other than using kerosene heat. Doesn't heat my 32' x 32' x 10' wall garage very well. I was tired of breathing the fumes from the 55K btu kerosene heater but guess I will be using it again as a primary heat source. The 10K watt heater produces 171-degree heat coming out of the front. I also used the Fluke meter on the inside coils and saw 550-degrees. I thought maybe the heater was defective, but now I believe it is just under powered for my needs in mild winter weather Texas. It moves a fair amount of air, just not as effective as I need in my freestanding garage. It is built like an army tank but performs more like an army jeep. I had the manufacture suggested A/C receptacle & breaker installed, and purchased the manufacture suggested power cord. None of them are getting hot so that is not an issue. I have waited too long (personal reasons) to send it back, so keeping it to use with the kerosene heater.
