Join Sir Cumference and the gang for more wordplay, puns, and problem solving in the clever math adventure that introduces readers to the concept of fractons. Sir Cumference and Lady Di discover "Fracton numbers" while purchasing cloth and cheese at the Fracton Faire. While two-fourths may seem like the same as one-half, in truth it denotes two parts of one-half, or two quarters of the whole. But the real mystery is the fact that items at the fair keep disappearing, and Sir C, Lady Di, and the Earl of Fracton must set a numeric trap for the thief, teaching an important lesson along the way about the comparative size of fractions. Puns--both literal and visual--abound in this fun adventure story with beloved characters and a solid pedagogical foundation. A fun little math adventure that introduces the basics of fractions to early elementary audiences. โ School Library Journal Review: Entertaining and educational! - This book series is exceptional! They are really entertaining for kids and very clever in how they teach math topics. Some educational books can be boring for small children, but this series does a great job of integrating the story with the math lesson (whether that be fractions, circumference, etc.). Highly recommend! Review: Well written, fun as well - I bought this for my daughter and her two children, who are homeschooled. They are beginning to learn about fractions, and this looked like a great contribution to their math library. This is the first book Iโve ordered in this series; I plan to order more.

Sir Cumference for President!
Sir Cumference, Sir Cumference... where for art thou Sir Cumference? As an avid lover of the entire series of Sir Cumference books, I JUMPED on the bandwagon to grab this newest release and I wasn't disappointed! Sir Cumference and the Fraction Faire have hit my bookshelf and are just waiting to be shared in some upcoming activities that I have planned for teachers! Thank you so much for your continued efforts to bringing enjoyment to math instruction.Using these to help connect real life application to students is not only tolerable but enjoyable now.

Great story and fun way to learn about fractions.
Love the story and the way they introduce fractions. Great for young kids or a little older ones!

Another brilliant Sir Cumference book!
So cute and engaging. I teach extended math to 4th graders and I like how this covers the basics but isn't so basic about fractions that it leaves the upper elementary kids wanting more. This is no ordinary math story book. It gets kids thinking and trying to solve the riddles. I have added this to my growing collection.

Super for 5th!
My students love this series of books and I start out each chapter reading the one that works with the chapter. The students really enjoy it and I think it gets them a bit more involved!

My 7-year-old son loves all these books about Sir Cumference!

I found this uninteresting
Did not like it. Does not do much to help kids appreciate fractions etc. more. Also the faire thing is hard for non-european people IMO

Nice idea
Nice idea, but the pictures and stories are a bit childish for the level of maths being taught. That's noy to say it's bad, it's not, the artwork is excellent. But as I found, children who are learning about fractions tend to be offended that they're being given a younger childrens book to read, and that detracted from the maths. Perhaps I used it too late, perhaps it's a good introduction to younger children who aren't yet learning this level of maths at school, just to prepare them.
