Last month my boys got open water certified down in Key Largo, FL I considered the expensive “GoPro” option to document their first few scuba dives, but couldn’t bring myself to drop over $500 for camera, case and handle. Instead got the pro shot for our iPhone 7 Plus. Two day shipping from Amazon was great as all the local dive shops were sold out or stocking only more expensive alternatives. Instructions were simple (so follow them) and we installed the software to reconfigure the function of the phone volume buttons. Tested in the hotel tub and worked perfectly. The next day we charged the phone and made sure we had plenty of memory. As soon as we entered the water my son started filming. Descended slowly to about 45 feet. No leaks. The video quality was excellent! Especially enjoyed the clear sound of the 2nd stage opening and exhale of exhaust. Colors on the video were great until depth started washing out the reds. We carried no external lights. Simply amazed to get such quality video for such a modest price. No leaks or sweating in the camera housing. Probably good below 45-feet, but my son was nervous about leakage damaging his phone. Replayed the video on the dive boat for other passengers. Jealousy.... Quick tip: When filming, move painfully slow from object to object. Get some face shots of your divers (slowly) and take a moment to poke under coral and rock. Get some closeups of corals and small shrimp. You can always edit on your laptop at night. We did not bother turning video on and off during the dive in case of a glitch. We just let it run till our air ran low. However, the buttons worked as advertised once on the surface. Get this case for your iPhone.

This is an exceedingly well made product (and I’m pretty picky). Very easy to work with, solid and 100% effective. It’s a bit difficult to see the screen under water with giggles but that has nothing to do with ProShot. I was able to easily use the volume buttons to take pics or video. It is absolutely true that you can’t use the touch screen under water but I was still able to do my Marco Polo...I just set it in the direction I wanted before I jumped in the water. Mostly used it for snorkeling. PLUS, I got to use all my GoPro accessories (My GoPro broke last year)

With the phone inside the case, I could take pictures with no problems. Once I was underwater at approximately 10 feet it would not let me get to the camera app. Suri came on with error message "Suri not available" and was unable to get to camera. There were no instructions with the case and could find no help on the web site. I am able to disengage Suri but no instructions told me or suggested to do so. I had bought this specifically for an underwater scooter adventure and was not able to enjoy since fiddled with the iPhone the entire time. Trip $149.00 wasted money due to failed case.

Both of my sons were recently certified, and I wanted to capture some underwater pictures of the family while on vacation in Hawaii but didn't want to drop a lot of money on a GoPro and a mortgage payment on a professional rig. Enter the ProShot. Like others, I was leery of taking my main means of communication with the outside world underwater but glad I took the chance. After testing the ProShot at 5-10 feet and finding no evidence of leakage, off we went for a dive in Shark's Cove. Note, that you must start the app BEFORE you go underwater. The touchscreen becomes inoperative due to the water pressure at almost any depth. I am happy to report that the ProShot performed perfectly during our fives dives and a max depth of 46 feet. I was also surprised at the quality of the shots I was able to take, some of which are attached. I will say take the case is total overkill and too bulky to use as a "day at the beach" case but is perfect for scuba. Highly recommended.

So after long conversations I decide to get this case. My I have a friend hat has a 7 and not a 7plus as I do. I was supper impressed with the quality of his case. Hard plastic an extra lid for deeper diving glass and metal locking clips. No I got mine an just unboxed it. I was not nearly as impressed with my case as I was with his. My case is only good for 50ft I can not add a fish eye lense as he can and my clip is plastic not metal like his. Because of these major differences I am giving it a 3 and not a 5. It works perfectly and good pictures but for the price of 119$ I was expecting better quality then I got

The case is awesome. I was able to take pictures underwater with my iPhone 8+ and they are fantastic. There is a bracket within the case that says to remove when using the iPhone 8 Plus. I didn't and my iPhone fit perfectly. I looked at removing the bracket and was thinking that the phone would not be secure and would move around in the case if I did remove it. My only two negatives are: 1> The description of the case says it is compatible ANY GO PRO mount. That may be but extra parts are required if you don't get the mount that is shown with the case. The black mount doesn't come with the case so when I went to use it on my cruise with the Go Pro handle I purchased, it didn't work. 2> There is a piece of colored cardboard attached to the front to of the case. I could NOT get the front of the case to not be sticky where the adhesive was. I tried rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover and neither worked.

Exceeded all my expectations. I have an Iphone 7 plus and with this case I never even took out my go pro. The app was was great and made everything easy to manage. The touch screen works well even caught a few Pokemon just to see if I could. After a while the touch screen would act up and wouldn't work as well under water but that really didn't matter due the focus on my trip needed the camera and all the functions were taken care of via the app. Over all bear in mind this is not an every day case but I believe it it the best one for around the pool or when snorkeling. Can't wait to try out the dive case if they come out with it.

I purchased this for my new iPhone 7 plus, a hugh investment, and was leary of the ability to place my phone underwater. I tested it out before placing in ocean and it worked great. Went to Hawaii, went snorkeling and it has worked perfectly. I've taken some awesome shots while snorkeling. The app works great. I can even interface with my screen while underwater. You can switch between photo and video very easily. The case is pretty snug which is what you want, pulling it out of the case after use takes some strength but overall this is a worthwhile product. I am adding to my review: I had my case for a month on a trip to Hawaii then to the Colorado River: The blue clasp cracked while I was on the river but I could still take some awesome water shots as I did not have to submerge the device. When I returned home I contacted the company via Amazon and they sent me a new case, no questions asked... just had to sent them a pix of the damage... That is GREAT customer service. I would definitely recommend this company.BTW The camera's audio works perfectly while in the case.

This case is awesome! Easy to use and much cheaper than a digital camera. Allows you to use your phone in the water. A couple of drawbacks but these do not detract from how great the case is: 1) you can’t see the screen very well underwater when the sun is shining brightly but a few practices on knowing where to point the phone and it is no issue at all! I highly recommend this case. 2) Wish it was supplied with a hard cover case as I have a small dent in the corner of the case but it won’t stop me using the case in the future! 3) linked to point 3, you can’t always tell if the video feature is on or off. A couple of times I thought I was filming when I had switched the video feature off and vice versa!

Soy fotógrafa y practico deportes de aventura y naturaleza. En algunos me es imposible llevar mi cámara a cuestas, pero aun así no quiero renunciar a hacer fotos de calidad. La Gopro es genial pero su "ojo de pez" hace que las fotos no sean muy buenas y que los videos, aunque impresionantes, tampoco tengan gran calidad. Con esta funda transformo mi iPhone en una Gopro y es seguro llevármelo a descensos de barrancos, piragüismos o cualquier otra actividad.
