TOWOT 63-37 High Purity Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire for Electrical Soldering, Content 1.8% Solder Flux (1.0mm, 50g)

This lead rosin core solder works fantastic & is much cheaper than the alternative brand solder products at the local hardware stores which run about $25 to $30 for one spool, in one "size" spool which is large. With this particular product I find is so much better than the alternative because you're able to get a smaller amount If you don't need a large amount of one particular gauge, which I didn't. Appearance is neat and tidy on a space-saving plastic spool which is just big enough to suit vanessary amount of solder being wrapped around, said spool. This is very easy to use and the soldering worked great when used in practice to connect wires to a circuit board. The solder seemed to be perfect and it held great. This stuff works just as good as the "top notch expensive stuff". I would 100% re-buy this product, when and if I need it again.

I’ve tried a few different solder wires lately and this one immediately stood out. The flow is smooth, it wets nicely, and it just behaves the way you want solder to behave without fighting you. The rosin core seems to do its job well. I didn’t feel like I needed to reach for extra flux nearly as often compared to some others I’ve used recently. Joints come out clean and consistent. I’ve been using it on a mix of small SMD electronics work and general soldering, and it’s been very forgiving. Even when I’m moving a little faster than I should, it still flows well and doesn't clump up. The small wire width is great for helping me to use too much on tiny components. Honestly, I’d rate this 6 stars if that was an option. It just makes soldering easier, which is exactly what you want. Definitely something I’ll keep stocked going forward.

Easy and great to use if used properly with the right settings, tools, and materials/flux. Great softness and malleable enough to maneuver and angle how I need for tough spots. Sturdy enough but still soft enough not to break when bent. Looks great and clean when used with properly with the proper flux. Regardless of the flux already present in it, you always want to use flux for better quality and better looking jobs. Thickness is great if you're buying the correct thickness you need. I am already buying more of this. I am getting a higher weight but smaller thickness for what I need and used because I tend to go heavier so I want to save more to last longer. Comparison

As a good nerd, I should be buying Kester, but this solder works well for the light duty rework and repair I am doing. Seems to make solid connections and it cools quickly to a solid connection, much faster than lead free. 63/37 is my preferred repair formulation.

Delivery is fast, price is reasonable, and quality is good.

Have not put this product to the test yet. Amazon shipment arrived quickly but my purpose for this purchase comes about as I have always wanted an electrical type solder to supplement my silver solder which the latter is used on metal works. Thus, did a number of review and settled on this purchase for its 63-37 tin-to-lead ratio with rosin core built-in so as to eliminate an extra step of fluxing an item before solder application. Have always felt uneasy not having electrical solder when needed to conduct small electrical repair. Only time will tell if product meets expectation. Purchase size and solder thickness was deemed ideal for possible electrical repair when dealing with ease of flow and melting temperature. Happy with purchase just having it available.

Accurate description. Melts fast, attaches easily, plenty of wire, and great value for the cost.

I've been getting back into hobby electronics after a break (of 30 years). THe solder that came with my iron worked fine, but since then I had 3 different solders that just did't work at all, or worse, worked when testing then failed in front of people. And that was usiong flux!. This stuff just works. Just done sopme test peices on an LED strip at 250c and it worked great. THe finish was non clumpy and shoiny, just like I remeber soldering back in the dark ages.
